The Tata Sierra has piqued the interest of a lot of people in India. However, recently something surprising took place. The billionaire real estate tycoon Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani was also seen checking out the brand-new Tata Sierra mid-size SUV. In the short videos, Hiranandani can be seen sitting behind the steering wheel of this newly launched SUV that has become extremely popular in India.
These short videos and images of Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani taking a look at the new Tata Sierra have been shared on Instagram by Vimal Pamnani on their page. In the first short clip, we can note that the co-founder and managing director of Hiranandani Group was exiting the Tata Sierra, and the man who shared the video was standing next to him at the door, getting his picture clicked.

In the third slide of this post, there is another video in which Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani was seen coming near the Tata Sierra. He was surrounded by a number of people. During this, we can note that the man who shared this post first shakes his hand and then touches his feet to take his blessings.
Following this, Hiranandani also shakes hands with another person, and he then sits inside the Tata Sierra and starts checking it out thoroughly. The man in the video can also be seen adjusting the driver's seat distance from the steering wheel for Hiranandani. The 75-year-old billionaire Hiranandani then continues his conversation with a few of the other people who were present near the Sierra.

The person who shared this post stated that Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani was visiting their display of Tata cars during the IMA Conclave held in Indore. He highlighted that even at 75, Hiranandani’s energy is more infectious than that of most people half his age. He added that it was a pleasure to meet him.

As mentioned, the Tata Sierra is one of the most popular mid-size SUVs currently in the market. In just 24 hours since its launch, this SUV received over 70,000 bookings. In January 2026, Tata Motors reported sales of 7,003 units. Coming to the waiting periods, the Sierra has a queue of around 3–4 months, depending on the variant selected.
It has been reported that the diesel variants have higher demand in the market. Hence, they have a longer waiting period when compared to the naturally aspirated petrol and turbo petrol variants. Additionally, in terms of color, the Tata Sierra’s most popular and preferred color choice by buyers is 'Munnar Mist.'

Although the billionaire real estate tycoon Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani does not personally own a Tata, there is a different billionaire who owns one. His name is none other than Motilal Oswal, chairman of Motilal Oswal Financial Services. In his advocacy of “Vocal for Local,” back in January 2024, he bought himself a brand-new Tata Safari.
He chose the Dark Edition of this SUV, which is the more sporty and menacing-looking variant of the Safari 7-seater SUV. It comes equipped with a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine, which is capable of producing 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Oswal also recently bought a Mahindra XUV700, the direct rival of the Tata Safari, as well.
