Every year during the festive season, we come across reports from different parts of the country where companies gift expensive items like bikes and cars to their employees as part of the celebrations. Earlier, only a few companies used to do this. However, many have now realised how such gifts improve employee morale and have started following the same trend. Here, we have one such video from Chennai, where a company decided to reward its loyal and hardworking employees by gifting them not one but 12 Audi luxury cars.
The video has been shared by Unseen Chennai on their Instagram page. Images and videos from this event have gone viral on social media. Refex Group, as mentioned above, is based out of Chennai and is among the leading business conglomerates in India. Over the past two decades, Refex has expanded across multiple business verticals, including renewables (solar and wind IPP), medical technologies (manufacturing digital X-rays, flat panel detectors, and refurbishing MRI machines), pharma (API manufacturing related to the central nervous system), green mobility (offering four-wheeler EVs as a technology-backed service), ash utilisation and coal handling (mitigating environmental pollution from thermal power plants), and airport retail operations, among others.
The post mentions that the cars were not gifted just to top executives but to employees who stood by the company through thick and thin. Refex is calling this initiative the “Wheel of Achievement,” and it is indeed a grand gesture to appreciate the employees’ hard work.

Coming to the cars, the post shows Audi A4 sedans, and it appears that all employees received the same luxury sedan. A brand-new Audi A4 currently has a starting price of Rs 46.88 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 55.83 lakh (ex-showroom). The exact variant of the cars gifted has not been clearly mentioned in the post or video.
The Audi A4 is available in Premium, Premium Plus, Signature Edition, and Technology variants. Like most brands, Audi has discontinued diesel engines, and the A4 is now offered only with a petrol engine. The sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre TFSI (turbocharged petrol) engine that generates 207 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque.
The engine is mated to a 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission, with power sent to the front wheels. Depending on the variant, the features offered in the Audi A4 may vary.
Being a luxury sedan, it comes equipped with features like a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable seats, seat ventilation, park assist, ambient lighting, an electric tailgate, eight airbags, a touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, a sunroof, alloy wheels, auto-dimming IRVMs, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, connected car features, and more.
This is not the first time we have come across such an event. In February this year, Kerala’s Hi-Lite Group gifted 47 cars to its employees, which even included a Land Rover Defender. Many pharma companies based out of Punjab and Haryana have also gifted cars to their employees in the past.
