Chinese automakers are known for copying vehicle designs from luxury carmakers across the world. However, recently a Chinese appliance maker, more specifically vacuum cleaner maker Dreame Technology, has now started copying car designs and will start production soon. The brand recently shared renderings of its upcoming electric SUV, which could be called D9, and it looks almost the same as the Rolls-Royce Cullinan luxury SUV.
According to reports, Dreame Technology, which is popular for producing vacuum cleaners, is eyeing entering the automotive market by 2027. From the images that have been shared online, it can be noted that the SUV from Dreame strongly resembles the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which is the British luxury automaker's flagship luxury SUV.\
In terms of the design of the Dreame D9 (reports have claimed what it might be called), it gets a massive front grille finished in chrome. This grille boasts the same vertical slat design as the Cullinan and other Rolls-Royce models. Also, the rectangular LED headlights look very similar to the Cullinan’s but are much sleeker on the Dreame SUV.

Moving to the side profile, we can note that it gets massive chrome alloy wheels, which also look like a Rolls-Royce design. What is even more interesting is that Dreame will also be offering the D9 SUV with flush-type door handles and rear suicide doors, which are a signature Rolls-Royce offering. It has to be noted that, unlike the Cullinan, the D9 does not get a B-pillar.
Currently, there are no images of the rear of this SUV. However, most likely, it will be copied from Rolls-Royce as well. As for the interior design, the image shows it with an all-white interior. As per reports, it will have a 3.7 m-long cabin and offer two independent captain seats in the rear, which are expected to get all the creature comforts.
They will most likely offer ventilation, massaging, and 1.2 m of legroom. These seats will also offer a 145-degree reclining angle, making them extremely comfortable. Dreame will most likely also be using a lot of high-end materials to make this SUV’s cabin feel premium.
It has been mentioned that the Dreame Technology D9 luxury SUV will be offered with four individual electric motors. Each one will be placed on each wheel, offering an AWD drive system capable of torque vectoring depending on the terrain. The SUV will reportedly also get a 100 kWh battery pack with an optional range extender package.

Other notable highlights of this SUV will include 24-degree turning rear-wheel steering, which will provide sharp agility, and it will also get an active suspension. The SUV is also expected to get LiDAR, multiple cameras, and mm-wave radars for adjusting the suspension and ride height. Also, these sensors will be used for ADAS features as well.
It has been reported that Dreame Technology is building a new manufacturing plant in Berlin, Germany, near Tesla’s Gigafactory. The company is also partnering with French banking giant BNP Paribas for financial backing. The company aims to rival Li Auto and other major luxury car manufacturers along with other Chinese New Energy Vehicle companies.
