In Hindu religion, the woman in the home is considered a form of “Laxmi ji—the goddess of wealth and prosperity.” Due to this, a lot of times, when a new home, a car, or any other bigger purchase is made, it is inaugurated by women. Recently, a man who bought himself a brand-new MG Cyberster electric sportscar was seen lifting his wife and getting her foot imprints on the bonnet of his new car as part of Hindu traditions.
This video showing this unique moment has been shared on Instagram by Haristhenics on their page. In this short video, we can note that the man lifts up his wife and first lets her dip her feet in a red-colored liquid-filled plate. Following which, he then takes her in front of the Cyberster and puts her feet, with the red liquid, on the bonnet of his car.

After which, the man takes his wife and places her on the passenger seat of the Cyberster and kisses her on the forehead. Soon after doing this, the man can be seen praying to God with his folded hands and also apologises by touching his ears.
As mentioned above, women in Hindu households are considered a form of Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth, prosperity, good fortune, and well-being. As a result of this belief, it is considered highly auspicious for a woman to inaugurate or “enter” any new asset such as a house, shop, vehicle, or business.

Now, as seen in the video, the woman's feet were dipped in red liquid, which is a mixture of either “kumkum” and water or “alta” and water. Then the footprint was made on the bonnet of the car to represent the arrival of Goddess Lakshmi into a new possession. Generally, today, a lot of people do not perform such elaborate rituals during new car deliveries; however, some people go the extra mile to show their love and appreciation to gods as well as their partners.

Coming to the details of the car seen in the video, as mentioned, it is the newly launched MG Cyberster electric sportscar. This particular two-door convertible electric sportscar is priced at Rs 75 lakh. It is currently the only electric sportscar on sale in India, and it comes equipped with electronic scissor doors.
The Cyberster also gets sleek LED headlamps, sporty side skirts, a unique rear design, and connected LED tail lamps, which are shaped like arrows. It also comes with a split diffuser, 20-inch alloy wheels, and an overall sleek body design. On the inside, it gets two 7-inch auxiliary displays, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a vertically oriented 7-inch infotainment screen.

As for the electric powertrain of this sportscar, it comes equipped with a dual-motor setup that makes 510 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. It can perform a sprint of 0–100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. Also, thanks to its dual-motor setup, it gets an AWD system, which makes it feel like a rocket ship on the road. As for the battery pack, it gets a 77 kWh unit, which offers a range of around 580 km, according to the company.
