A number of celebrities and popular athletes think that just because of the fame they have, they can do anything without any repercussions. However, this is not the case, and recently a video has gone viral in which an international boxer named Sweety Boora from Haryana was confronted by the taxi union staff in Almora, Uttarakhand, for throwing garbage on the road from her Toyota Fortuner. As a result of this confrontation, the boxer also physically assaulted a taxi driver as well.
The video showing this incident has been shared on X by Kumaon Jagran on their page. This short video starts off by showing a black Toyota Fortuner with the registration number “HR 21 Q 6722” parked in the middle of the road. In addition to this, we can note that two women were arguing with a man next to this SUV.
One of the women, the international boxer Sweety Boora, was holding the hand of this man while he was confronting her. The person recording the video then mentions that the occupants of this particular SUV were throwing garbage on the road, after which they were confronted, and as a result, they have now started fighting with the people who pointed out their actions.

The video also continues to show that the woman boxer was continuously physically harassing the man by pulling him aggressively and shouting at him. At one point, while getting extremely angry, she also pushed him back. Soon after this, the driver of the SUV came out and put his hands around the shoulder of the other man to calm him down. However, during this, the other woman continued arguing with him.
As per the reports, this particular incident took place on January 26th near Taxi Stand Tiraha, Almora, Uttarakhand. Coming to the reason, it has been highlighted that the woman sitting inside the Toyota Fortuner lowered the window of the SUV and threw away garbage on the road. One of the employees of the taxi union office, Himanshu Pandey, saw this act taking place.

The taxi union members who were also at the spot stated that the garbage included liquor bottles and snack packets. What made this event even more serious is that it happened on 26th January, which is a dry day in India, and liquor bottles being thrown away made the local taxi union members angry, leading them to confront the occupants.
As can be seen in the video, the taxi union staff member, Himanshu Pandey, also highlighted that the women physically assaulted him and snatched his phone as well. The taxi union also alleged that the international boxer Sweety Boora and her friend threatened them by claiming to be connected with the police. This statement was also used to intimidate the local staff as well as bystanders.

According to Sweety Boora, the international boxer who won the gold medal at the 2023 IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships, all of the allegations against her are wrong. She stated that they had visited Neem Karoli Baba and that no alcohol was involved during their journey. She added that only fruit peels were thrown from the car and that there were no liquor bottles or snack packets.
At the time of the incident, there were police officers present at the spot. However, despite their presence, the dispute continued for a significant amount of time. Whether any action has been taken against the boxer or not has not been reported.
