It was just a week ago that we wrote about T.S. Pattabhiraman, the chairman of Kalyan Silks, taking delivery of a brand-new Range Rover Autobiography LWB. Something faster and even more expensive has reached the Kalyan garage on Diwali- a brand-new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica LP640-2, finished in Black. A video of the 640hp supercar getting delivered has now surfaced on various social media platforms.
It starts by showing the Tecnica being unloaded from a covered flatbed. It is finished in Black (Nero Noctis) and has Giallo accents. We can see the sporty rear bodywork, dual exhausts and large, fixed spoiler in close detail. The car rolls out of the truck carefully.

Later in the video, we see the family standing near the V10 supercar kept under a veil, at their residence in Kerala’s Thrissur. Together, they uncover it. Pattabhiraman is then seen receiving the keys. The video then briefly shows its engine- a 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10. The owner then takes it for a spin.
The Huracan Tecnica has a last-recorded price of Rs 4.04 crores, ex-showroom, before options. The on-road price in Kerala used to go beyond 4.7 Crores.

The Huracan Tecnica was introduced in India in 2022 and was available as a coupe alone. In the Italian carmaker’s lineup, it sat between the Huracan EVO and the Huracan STO. The message was clear. It offered the brutal performance of the STO with an EVO-like road-bias! In India, it competed with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, McLaren 720S, and Ferrari F8 Tributo.
The car had a clear design influence of the Lamborghini Sian in its bodywork. The overall bodywork felt more angular when compared to the regular Huracan. Prominent Ypsilon elements increased its visual appeal.
Other key design elements were a revised front splitter, Carbon Fibre bonnet, better rear diffuser, and a fixed rear spoiler (that was claimed to deliver 35% more downforce). It was longer than the EVO, and this brought a major difference in the overall stance. The aerodynamics saw major improvements as well.

The biggest highlight here, is the engine. It comes straight from the STO. The 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10 (with zero electrification!) makes 640hp and 565 Nm. It, however, sits on a road-ready chassis, marking a departure from the STO in dynamics and liveability. The suspension here is a fully independent double wishbone setup, and ceramic brakes are standard.
The transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic unit, and the Tecnica can sprint to 100 kph from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds. This car has a top speed of 325 kph, and comes with a Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) configuration. Lamborghini has also given it tech like the LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integra), three drive modes (Strada, Sport, and Corsa), rear wheel steering, torque vectoring, and traction control.
Interestingly, another wealthy family in Kerala, took delivery of a brand-new Tecnica on the same day. Sujith Narayana Kamath, the director of Jayalakshmi Silks, has bought his Tecnica in a striking shade of Blue. Various pictures and videos of this vehicle have also surfaced. Two supercars, with a combined worth of over 8 Crores getting delivered on the same day shows just how big the car scene in Kerala is...
The Huracan family itself is moving towards the end of its production cycle. The Temerario that debuted at Monterey last year is set to replace it. The Tecnica’s production came to an end in 2024.
