Supercar culture in India has improved in the last decade, and so have the numbers. Many young entrepreneurs and celebrities have bought these exotic cars, and we have featured them on our website too. Most Indians, when they buy a new car, take it to a nearby temple or bring priests with them for blessings. That is actually applicable to almost every car, regardless of its price or type. Here we have one such example where a McLaren 720S is seen visiting Kerala’s Guruvayoor temple for blessings.
There are multiple videos of the McLaren 720S on the internet. What makes this one special is the fact that it is Kerala’s first McLaren 720S supercar. The car was sold to a customer by Harman Motors in Kochi. This is a used car dealer that deals in luxury and exotic cars. The exact details of the owner are not available at the moment.
In the video, we do not see the owner, but we see the supercar entering the temple premises. The car is entering the famous Guruvayoor temple in the Thrissur district of Kerala. We have seen many celebrities and famous personalities come to this temple in their vehicles to get them blessed. However, this is probably the first time we have seen someone bring a supercar to this temple.
The McLaren 720S is a head-turner, and we see people checking out the vehicle as it enters the pavilion of the temple. The all-black supercar looks menacing, and we see the priests of the temple performing religious rituals on the car. A garland has been put on the bonnet of the car, and we also see them guiding the driver - or probably the owner - of the car through the crowd once the pooja was done.
The reaction of the people is what makes this video interesting. Most of those in the crowd were seeing a car like this for the first time in their lives. The comment section had reactions like people forgot the reason why they were there at the temple after seeing the car, Aura farming and so on. The 720S is no longer available in the market, as it has been officially discontinued and replaced with the 750S.
The 720S seen here in the video is registered in Maharashtra, and we assume that the registration of the car might soon be changed to Kerala. The British supercar brand was not very popular in India, but lately, many have been opting for it because of its rare nature and extremely aggressive design. In fact, McLaren officially entered the Indian market a few years ago, and they are now offering all models from their portfolio here.

The McLaren 720S is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that generates 710 bhp and 770 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an automatic transmission.
The supercar can do 0–100 kmph in just 2.8 seconds, and the top speed is around 341 kmph. Billionaire businessman Adar Poonawalla was the first Indian to get a McLaren officially registered in India. Before that, we had McLarens coming in through the carnet route from Dubai and other countries.
