The Mahindra XUV 7XO and the XEV 9S have already managed to make a lot of people their fans, and ex-Mahindra CEO and MD Pawan Goenka has now also joined the list. Recently, Goenka shared two images in which both the Mahindra XEV 9S and the XUV 7XO were brought to him for a test drive, and both of them managed to impress him. What’s interesting is that he has also mentioned which one he prefers.
Pawan Goenka, via his X account, has shared the images of the two new Mahindra SUVs at his residence. In his post, he highlighted that driving both the XEV 9S and the XUV 7XO was a delightful experience. He added that the new XUV 7XO is a huge improvement over the already popular and best-in-class XUV700.

The former Mahindra CEO also mentioned that the XEV 9S takes the best from both the XUV700 and the XEV 9E, which are the couple of electric SUVs from the brand. He added that it also packs some more as well. Goenka concluded by stating, “Proud of Mahindra’s planning, design and energy teams. You have created globally superior products @MahindraRise.”

In the comments section of this particular post shared by Goenka, one of the netizens asked the question about which of these two SUVs he would pick, particularly the petrol automatic or the Pack 2 Above of these SUVs. To which Goenka replied that he would pick either the XEV 9S or the XEV 9E. He has not shared why exactly he would pick these two over the XUV 7XO. However, our guess is that Goenka wants a sustainable SUV.
Pawan Kumar Goenka, who is currently serving as the chairman of IN-SPACe, a part of India’s space program, and the chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Madras, already owns a Mahindra XEV 9E. He took delivery of his Desert Myst-coloured XEV 9E last year in March, soon after the company commenced its deliveries.
Goenka and his wife both took the delivery of their EV SUV. In his post, he stated, “We are now proud owners of the XEV 9e. The car delivers everything it promised and more. Thank you, Mahindra, for creating this feature-rich, tech-laden masterpiece.”

The Mahindra XUV 7XO is the newest SUV from the brand. It has been launched with a price tag of Rs 13.66 lakh and goes up to Rs 24.11 lakh. Mahindra is offering this SUV in six variants, namely AX, AX3, AX5, AX7, AX7T, and AX7L. Additionally, the SUV can be had in either a 6- or 7-seater layout. As for the engine options, the same 2.2-litre and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engines from the XUV700 have been carried over.

Coming to the Mahindra XEV 9S, it starts at Rs 19.95 lakh and goes up to Rs 29.45 lakh. It is being offered with three battery pack options of 59 kWh (521 km), 70 kWh (600 km), and 79 kWh (679 km). Both the XEV 9S and XUV 7XO get a triple-screen layout on the inside, which gives them three 12.3-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument gauge cluster, and front passenger entertainment.
