Mahindra XUV 7XO is the facelifted version of the Mahindra XUV700, which was launched in the market earlier this year. Along with a revised exterior, the XUV 7XO also offers more features. Deliveries of the XUV 7XO have started, and we have begun seeing videos of it online. Here we have a video where a customer who bought the XUV 7XO shares his experience with the vehicle.
The video has been shared by Birlas Parvai on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks to a customer who recently bought the XUV 7XO petrol automatic. In the video, the customer talks about different aspects that he liked and didn’t like about the new XUV 7XO.
He starts by talking about the exterior design. The owner mentions that his friend already owns an XUV700, and when compared to that, he personally likes the XUV 7XO’s design. He also talks about how clean the lines and design elements look and how they are at par with global standards.
The only complaint he had with the design was the tail lamps. He mentions that Mahindra could have done something different to make them stand out, similar to EVs like the BE6. He also points out the fact that despite being a premium product, Mahindra does not offer an electric tailgate.
The owner says that he was using a Maruti Baleno before this, and the reason he decided to upgrade was mainly because of Bengaluru traffic. He was driving a manual car and wanted to switch to an automatic and a bigger vehicle. He had cars like the Tata Sierra and Safari on his list.
He even went ahead and made a booking for one of the Tata models. However, when he visited the dealership and checked out the vehicle, he found several fit and finish issues, which made him look for other options. He then came back to Mahindra, as his friend was already using the XUV 7XO.
The reason he chose a petrol automatic over a diesel automatic is simply that he was not concerned about fuel efficiency. For him, the petrol version was more feasible and also less expensive than the diesel version.
After driving the XUV 7XO, he was impressed with the overall quality and comfort of the vehicle. He mentions that the cabin space is great, and the “Davinci” suspension of the SUV does make a difference—it is especially beneficial during long highway trips. He says that he uses it mostly as a 5-seater, and when they travel to their hometown in Coimbatore, they either use the last row for luggage or for additional passengers. With all three rows up, there isn’t much boot space left.
He also mentions that getting in and out of the vehicle is a bit of a challenge for elderly passengers, which is why he is considering installing side steps.
Apart from these minor issues, he doesn’t have many complaints about the SUV. In fact, he hasn’t faced any negative experiences with the service centre either.
