Mahindra XUV 7XO Owner Reveals Why He Chose It Over Tata Safari [Video]
The Mahindra XUV 7XO is one of the latest launched SUVs from the brand, and in the first few days of the commencement of bookings, the company managed to achieve over 93,000 reservations. Now, as a result of this, a lot of people want to know the real-life ownership experience of this SUV, and hence people have been sharing them online. Recently, one such owner of a brand-new Mahindra XUV 7XO shared his candid thoughts on this vehicle in a video.
This detailed video review of the Mahindra XUV 7XO has been shared on YouTube by RNK Autos on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger introducing the owner of this vehicle and then asking him about the vehicle and his decision to purchase the Mahindra XUV 7XO. To this, the owner replies that he has chosen the XUV 7XO AX7T variant of this SUV with the petrol engine and automatic gearbox.
He then highlighted that he paid Rs 26 lakh on-road for the vehicle and did not opt for any accessories or accessory package which the dealership offered him. Moving on, the host asked the owner if he considered any other vehicles such as the Mahindra Scorpio-N and the Tata Safari, after which the owner stated that, according to him, both of those SUVs are not as luxurious as the XUV 7XO.
Following this, the presenter then started asking the owner about the performance of the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine offered by Mahindra, which makes 200 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. The owner then replies that he is fully satisfied with the performance of this SUV and mentions that it feels like an aircraft. He added that it picks up speed very smoothly and there is no lag.
The owner continued that the gearbox of this SUV is also very smooth except for the shift from first to second gear. He highlights that only the first gearshift is noticeable. However, after crossing 40–50 kmph, the gearshifts are very smooth. Next up, the vlogger asked about the Davinci suspension of this vehicle, which has been marketed a lot by the company.
After this, the owner highlights that indeed the Davinci suspension is very effective, and small potholes and other undulations of the road become non-existent inside the vehicle. He added that it works just as advertised by the company. Lastly, the vlogger asks a very important question about the mileage of this SUV. To this, the owner replies that it offers a mileage of 6.5 to 7 kmpl, and on the highways it offers 10–11 kmpl.
Moving ahead, the vlogger then started asking about the features and overall build quality of this vehicle. To this, the owner mentions that the vehicle is equipped with high-quality soft-touch materials on the door pads and dashboard, and the overall quality of buttons and everything is also very good. He added that in terms of features, the most impressive feature is the 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
The owner highlights that the 3D immersive experience of this system is amazing, and even at very high volumes it does not distort. He also mentions that this SUV gets front ventilated seats, driver-side seat memory function, wireless charging pad, and many others. The host then asked him if the third screen on the dashboard creates any distraction. To this, the owner mentions that while driving, the driver cannot see the third screen.
As for the drawbacks, the owner highlights that the only major drawback of this SUV is ADAS. He elaborates that despite turning it off, it still intervenes while making overtakes and during slightly aggressive driving. However, overall, it is a good feature.
