Ranbir Kapoor has always been one of the most talked-about Bollywood actors due to his charisma. Over the years, he has acted in a number of hit films, and one of those films is “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” Recently, an old video of Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji driving around in Mumbai in his Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, just before the release of “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” has resurfaced online.
This video, in which Ranbir Kapoor and his friend and director are seen driving around Mumbai in his Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, has been shared on YouTube by NDTV on their channel. It starts off with the NDTV host standing in front of Ranbir Kapoor’s home gate. She then asks him if she can hitch a ride with him. To this, he jokingly mentions that yes, she can, as it is already planned.
Following this, the interviewer greets both Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan Mukerji, who is his old friend and the director of the movie “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.” Soon after, they start talking about the car after the host appreciates Ranbir Kapoor's Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. The actor elaborates that his friends were the ones who suggested he get this SUV.
He then mentions that this particular car was actually ordered after his movie “Barfi” came out. Kapoor explained that it took a lot of time to get delivered as it is a limited car that is made to order. He added that it was built in Germany and was then delivered to him. Ranbir also joked that if “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” works out, then he will be ordering a sports car.
Soon after this, they started talking about their various interests, such as food and travelling. The actor mentions that he loves eating good food, going to new restaurants, and travelling to new cities. In the video, they then arrive at the famous Mumbai food cart Ayaz’s Kebab. The actor and director, along with the host, are seen sitting on a staircase where they are enjoying kebabs and talking about the upcoming film.
This particular Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG was owned by the actor a few years ago. Most likely, he has sold it now. The G-Wagen seen in the video is the previous-generation model, and Ranbir Kapoor was one of the very few actors at the time to own this SUV. The only other actors who also owned the previous-generation G-Wagen are Jimmy Shergill and Pawan Kalyan.
In addition to the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, back in the day, Ranbir Kapoor also used to own a red-colored Audi R8 supercar as well. Currently, the actor is driven around Mumbai in his Rs 3 crore Lexus LM 350h Ultra Luxury MPV. Once again, he was one of the first Bollywood celebrities to buy this luxury MPV, and since then, a number of actors and actresses have added it to their garages.
Additionally, Ranbir Kapoor is also one of the very few celebrities in India to own a new-generation Bentley Continental GT. He bought his Bentley Continental GT back in April of last year. He paid around Rs 6 crore for his luxury coupe, which is finished in a classy shade of blue.
The Bentley Continental GT bought by Ranbir Kapoor comes powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that generates 542 bhp and 770 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels. He also owns a Range Rover Autobiography LWB as well.
