Famous Influencer Apoorva Mukhija Seen Drinking In Car During Traffic Jam [Video]
The popular influencer Apoorva Mukhija, or more commonly known as “Rebel kid,” has once again come under the spotlight. This time around, the Rebel kid has been seen drinking while sitting inside a car in a traffic jam. A number of netizens have highlighted that it is illegal to drink inside a moving car, especially during the day while sitting at a traffic signal.
The video showing Apoorva Mukhija drinking inside a car has been shared on Instagram by Trending Updates on their page. In this short clip, the influencer can be seen sitting in the middle row of an SUV and saying that she wants to vomit. Soon after this, the person sitting next to her hands her a bottle of alcohol, out of which she takes a sip.
Following this, she can then be seen getting disgusted, and one of her friends hands her a can of Red Bull energy drink which was empty. She then tries to drink, but nothing comes out, due to which she abuses and smiles. It can be noted that the vehicle in which she was sitting was stopped at either a signal or a traffic jam.
A number of netizens have shared this reel and have highlighted that a “woman” should not be drinking and other statements of such nature. However, our point has nothing to do with her gender. We want to highlight that anybody can drink whether they are male or female. However, drinking in a car is an act that is illegal and should not be done either publicly or privately.
In India, an open or unsealed bottle of alcohol cannot be carried inside the passenger compartment. Even if someone is just carrying an open bottle and not driving and drinking, it is an illegal act. The only way to carry alcohol bottles in a passenger vehicle is that they should be sealed and stored in the boot of the car and not within the reach of the driver or the passengers.
The above incident is not the first time that the Rebel kid or Apoorva Mukhija has made it to the headlines. Just a few months ago, she was involved in a massive controversy. It happened after she appeared as a panelist on India’s Got Latent, a reality show on YouTube created by popular comedian Samay Raina.
She was present along with other influencers — Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Jaspreet Singh. During the episode, what happened was that one of the contestants made a very offensive comment about her vagina on stage, to which Mukhija responded with anger.
Due to this, she was abused and trolled on the internet. Mukhija later clarified that the “savage joke” or reply made by her was not for shock value; rather, it was a defence from her side after she felt provoked. She later also admitted that she made a few more jokes which were “in very bad taste.”
Following this controversy, which ended up with India's Got Latent getting shut down, a number of people started criticizing the Rebel kid online. Due to this, she stopped using social media for a while and has now returned and is making content again. Currently, she has over 4.4 million followers on Instagram.
