Bollywood Director Rohit Shetty Spotted Driving Brand-New GMC Hummer EV Worth Rs 4.5 Crore
The super popular Bollywood movie director Rohit Shetty is known for his funny movies, which have a lot of action and cars in them. Now, just like his movies, he also has a lot of unique and high-end cars, and most recently, he was driving an electric SUV. However, being Rohit Shetty, he was not driving any normal EV SUV. Instead, he was seen behind the wheel of a brand-new Hummer EV worth Rs 4.5 crore.
The video showing Rohit Shetty driving a Hummer EV has gone viral on Instagram. It comes courtesy of b.town.life on their page. In this short clip, we can first note a Mahindra Scorpio with police stickers coming towards the camera. Just behind it was the Hummer EV, which was being driven by Rohit Shetty himself.
Although Rohit Shetty has been seen driving this particular Solar Orange-colored GMC Hummer EV, it has not been confirmed if he has bought it or not. Currently, this particular vehicle is registered with Big Boy Toyz. For those who may not know, BBT is one of the most popular and premium used car dealerships across the country. They have a lot of celebrity clients.
For those who may not be aware, the electric SUV in which Rohit Shetty has been spotted is the latest generation of the iconic GMC Hummer. This time around, the company has electrified the Hummer brand, and now it is offered as an electric SUV. This mammoth size measures 5,507 mm in length, 2,201 mm in width, and 2,009 mm in height. It also has a wheelbase of 3,454 mm.
This SUV can dwarf any other vehicle on the public roads in India. As for the specific variant of the Hummer EV that was being driven by Rohit Shetty, it is the 3X variant. It is also offered in the 2X variant as well. Both get a dual-Ultium motor all-wheel-drive setup. The 2X variant makes 625 bhp; meanwhile, the 3X makes 830 bhp and 15,592 Nm of torque (yes, you read that right).
As for the battery pack, this beast of an EV SUV comes with a 178 kWh battery pack and has a claimed range of 505 km. Just like most American vehicles, the Hummer EV is a huge SUV, and it easily weighs over 4,500 kg. But despite it being so heavy, it can still do a sprint from 0–100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds.
Apart from the Hummer EV, Rohit Shetty is also regularly seen driving around in his Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG luxury SUV worth Rs 4.5 crore. His SUV is finished in the classy shade of diamond white. It comes equipped with a massive 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 motor, which makes 577 bhp and 850 Nm of torque.
He also owns another twin-turbo V8 SUV, and it is a Lamborghini Urus. His super SUV is finished in the shade of Giallo Triplo Strato. The Lamborghini Urus also comes powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, and it produces 641 bhp and 850 Nm.
The first GMC Hummer EV of Bollywood was bought by the “Dhurandhar” movie star Ranveer Singh. He bought it back in July of last year, and it is finished in the grey color. He has also opted for the 3X variant of this SUV.
