When it comes to the security of the Prime Minister of India, it always has to be top-notch. However, despite his importance, recently a huge security breach took place involving his bulletproof Toyota Fortuner convoy. Recently, a video was shared online by a local car wash owner in which four bulletproof Toyota Fortuners belonging to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy, including the car he sits in, were seen getting washed. This has raised a huge security concern.
The video showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's bulletproof Toyota Fortuners getting washed at a local car wash has been reshared on X by The Skin Doctor on their page. Originally, the video was shared on Instagram by the owner of the local car wash. However, where exactly this car wash is located has not been mentioned.
In this short clip, we can note that there are four black Toyota Fortuners, which belong to the SPG (Special Protection Group), being washed at a local car wash. One of these SUVs was parked on the main ramp, while the other three were on the side. We can note that one of these SUVs even had the network jammer on top.

The person who shared this video has also shared another picture of the exact same Toyota Fortuner, which was on the ramp, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in it. In the image, it can clearly be seen that PM Modi was recently sitting in the vehicle with the number “DL 2C AY 8167.” He was seen in this vehicle while visiting Thoothukudi’s new airport terminal.
A number of netizens have highlighted that this video has exposed a huge security breach involving the Prime Minister's official vehicles. Normally, the washing, repair, and inspection of PM Modi's bulletproof vehicles are done at classified government facilities under the supervision of SPG officers.
Each and every movement of these vehicles is logged. It is ensured that no external person is ever allowed to come in contact with them due to the risk of tampering, surveillance device installation, or explosive placement.

However, in this particular case, the vehicles used by PM Modi and his security team were taken to a local car wash, completely unsupervised. This highlights that multiple unknown individuals have come in physical contact with the Prime Minister’s armored vehicles, potentially gaining access to critical information about the vehicles’ structure, underbody, and modifications.
A number of people have also highlighted that such breaches have bigger implications, including the possibility of hidden surveillance devices being planted inside or under the vehicle, as well as unauthorized people gaining exposure to vehicle armor details, jammer systems, and communication hardware.
At the moment, it is not known if an investigation has been launched into this security breach or not. It is expected that the SPG will take the initiative to find out how the official vehicles of PM Modi were seen at a local car wash. It remains to be seen whether a clarification will be shared by the authorities in the near future.

One of the netizens commented, “If authentic, this deserves serious attention. The PM’s official vehicle is handled exclusively under SPG-supervised facilities, not public outlets. Even a minor protocol gap here is a major national security risk. Hoping PMO & SPG clarify soon.”
Another person stated, “This is alarming. If this is indeed the PM's car being washed at a local car wash, it’s a massive security lapse. How did this happen? Where was the SPG? The PM's vehicle should never leave the secure zone managed by the SPG. This incident raises serious questions about the safety protocols in place. What measures are being taken to ensure such breaches don't happen again? The potential risks here are too high to ignore.”
