Stray Dog Jumps Into Parked Mahindra Thar ROXX: Woman Jumps Out In Fear (Video)
Mahindra Thar needs no introduction among Indians. The SUV, now available in both three-door and five-door forms, has been selling well here. Interestingly, the Thar has also made unpleasant and bizarre headlines multiple times in the past. We have seen people do crazy and dangerous stunts with it on public roads, goons driving around and even running over people with it, and even Thar owners doing illegal modifications to their rides. Now, a video involving a Thar ROXX has sparked laughter online, and this time, the SUV hasn’t made notorious headlines! The video shows a stray dog jumping into a parked ROXX and a woman jumping out of it in fear!
The exact location where this video was filmed remains unclear. It opens by showing a Black Thar ROXX parked near a building. It seems to have a Wrangler-like grille- an aftermarket fitment.
A stray dog is seen walking towards the vehicle from the nearby building. The ROXX has its driver’s side windows rolled down. With its front legs on the footrest, the dog leans up and takes a peek inside. The next second, we see it jumping inside through the window. Chaos follows...
Turns out, the SUV wasn’t empty! A woman is seen jumping out through the front passenger door, panicked by the unexpected visitor. (The driver’s window was likely rolled down for her to get some air while she waited inside) She takes some time getting a hang of what was going on.
Soon, we see her trying to get the dog out of the vehicle. She is seen gesturing and calling out, even as the equally confused dog stays inside. After a few tense moments, the animal finally jumps out. Relieved, the lady gets back inside and closes the door. A nearby CCTV/ surveillance camera captured the entire action, footage of which was later shared online.
This video has been racking up views online and has set the internet laughing. The one embedded above has had over 2.7 lakh views at the time of writing. Many other pages and handles have also re-shared and reposted the same.
Many users joked that the dog here wanted to test-drive India’s favourite SUV. ‘Isko review karna tha’ (it (the dog) wanted to do a review)- quipped a user. Another interesting comment reads ‘Bro reborn but this tym as dog’. The internet seems to love this oddly adorable, borderline-bizarre ‘incident’ involving the Thar ROXX...
Incidentally, this incident comes just days after Haryana DGP made a viral remark about people who own the Thar. Talking to the media about the procedures that the police force follow in conducting vehicle checks, he said that they ‘don’t stop all vehicles for checking, but couldn’t possibly let a Thar go.’
Talking in more detail, he explained that a person’s mindset and personality traits will reflect in the vehicles he/she uses. "If we make a list of cops, how many will have a Thar? And whoever has it, he must be crazy ('dimaag ghuma hua hoga uska')... It's a statement. The Thar is not a car, it's a statement which says 'this is how I am'”- he said!
The DGP’s remarks fetched the Thar some serious negative press. His comment was backed by the recent incidents of some Thar owners running over people with the vehicle and unleashing other chaos in the city.
