The Tata Curvv.ev is one of the most underrated electric SUVs in India. It was launched back in 2024 and, ever since, has been flying under the radar of most EV buyers. However, recently, an owner of a Tata Curvv.ev shared his honest thoughts and ownership experience of his 17-month-old coupe SUV, which he has driven over 2 lakh km. Yes, you heard that right. This particular Tata Curvv has covered over 2 lakh km without any issues.
This detailed ownership review of this particular Tata Curvv.ev has been shared on YouTube by Cartoon Carwala on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that he has travelled 400 km to meet the owner of this Tata Curvv.ev, which has covered over 2.06 lakh km in just over 17 months of ownership, after which he starts asking a series of questions to the owner.
The first question which the vlogger asks is about his use of the car, which has made him cover this distance in just 17 months. To which the owner mentions that he is into the transport business and has constant travel of around 300–400 km. He added that some days the travel spans 600–700 km as well, after which the vlogger asks him about his previous vehicles.

Following this, the owner reveals that he first bought a Tata Tigor petrol; however, as the fuel bill was increasing, they added a CNG kit. But for the CNG, they had to wait in line, as there was only a single CNG pump in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, so it was becoming very frustrating to wait in line every night. As a result, he bought a Tata Tigor EV, which has covered over 4 lakh km.
He added that the Tigor EV is still in their family and has not given them any major problems. The owner continued and added that, with the 26 kWh battery pack of that vehicle, they have learned how to optimally drive an EV to extract the best range possible. He also mentions that their Tigor EV was the first EV in the district, and even the RTO officials in their area did not know which color plates are for EVs.
Following this, the owner mentioned that, as the experience with the Tigor EV was very pleasant, they decided to buy the Tata Curvv.ev as well. And in the last 17 months, they have driven it over 2.06 lakh km without any major issue. He highlighted that they have not been stuck once during their travels and have never had to call RSA.

The owner emphasized that they never let the battery pack of their vehicle reach below 20 percent, as he doesn't trust the public charging infrastructure. He assumes that the next charger might not be working and, hence, does not drain the battery completely. Additionally, he added that even with the AC on, he gets a real-world range of 400 km, and only when the accelerator is pressed hard and the vehicle cruises at more than 100 kmph does the range get reduced to around 300 km.
After this, the vlogger asks about the experience with tyres, to which the owner replies that the vehicle came fitted with Goodyear tyres. However, they only lasted 90,000 km, and he had to replace them with CEAT tyres that are half the cost at Rs 6,000 and perform better. Speaking of maintenance, the owner highlighted that the brake pads were recently changed, and that also happened because the dealership asked them to replace them.
The owner highlighted that they still had a lot of life. He explained that, as the vehicle offers regenerative braking, he rarely uses the brakes, which has helped them in saving Rs 3,000–4,000 every 10,000–15,000 km in brake pad replacement when compared to an ICE vehicle. After this, the owner adds that he will continue to keep the Curvv.ev and will add another EV from Mahindra to their family.

Moving ahead, the owner added that his family will never have an ICE car again and will only have EVs. Additionally, while talking about savings, the owner highlights that he has spent Rs 1.5 lakh on charging this vehicle. However, if it were an ICE vehicle, they would have spent over Rs 11+ lakh on fuel alone for driving over 2 lakh km.
The owner also highlighted that he only trusts a specific Tata service advisor from Gurgaon to work on his vehicle, as he feels that most other Tata service centre mechanics are very undertrained. Overall, the owner mentions that he is extremely happy with the Tata Curvv.ev, as it has been extremely reliable for him.
