The cars from Tata Motors are considered some of the safest and strongest in India. This is also the case for German luxury vehicles from brands like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz as well. Now, have you ever wondered what would happen if a Tata car crashed with a German luxury car? Well, recently, an unfortunate accident took place involving a Tata Harrier and a Mercedes-Benz GLC luxury SUV, and the results will surely surprise you.
This video showing the aftermath of the Tata Harrier’s crash with a Mercedes-Benz GLC has been shared on X by D_Type_25 on their page. In this short clip, we can note that a black Tata Harrier was parked in the middle of a busy road. It can be seen that the front right side of this SUV was substantially damaged. However, despite this, the LED turn indicators were working.
Soon after this, the video then shows the other side of the Harrier, which was completely fine. Now, what was not fine was a Mercedes-Benz GLC luxury SUV that crashed with the Harrier. The video shows that after the crash, the entire front end of the GLC was damaged. Its front bumper came off from the front left side.

Meanwhile, its front grille and the lower portion of the front end were also severely damaged. In addition to this, the bonnet was also mangled, and we can observe that both front airbags of this SUV were deployed. The video then again shows the Harrier from the right side, and it can be seen that only its front fender, wheel arch cladding, right headlight, and right side of the bumper were damaged.
Reportedly, this accident took place in Bangalore, Karnataka. How exactly it took place has not been shared online. From what we can observe, it seems like the Harrier was crossing a roundabout where the Mercedes-Benz GLC driver might have come in contact with the Harrier.
As for the damage analysis, it appears that the GLC was speeding when it crashed into the Harrier, as the damage to it was very severe. From what can be noted in the aftermath video, it does not look like anyone was seriously injured in this accident.

As we all know, the Tata Harrier is one of the safest SUVs currently on sale in India. This SUV has been awarded five stars by both Global NCAP as well as Bharat NCAP. In the most recently concluded tests by Bharat NCAP, the Harrier scored 30.08 points out of 32 in adult protection. Additionally, it also scored 44.54 out of 49 points in child occupant protection.
The above incident is not the first time that the Harrier has proven how safe it is. Recently, a video went viral on the internet in which a Harrier was seen crashing at high speed after a Maruti Suzuki Swift driver made an abrupt U-turn. Thankfully, due to the supreme build quality, the Harrier, despite flipping over in an open field, managed to keep its occupants safe.
