Tata Motors cars have become extremely popular in India in the last few years. The primary reason behind this fame is the safety that its vehicles offer. Its sub-compact SUV, the Nexon, was the first car in India to score a perfect 5-star safety rating in Global NCAP. Recently, a video of the aftermath of a Nexon accident, after rolling over four times, has been shared online. This video shows that despite the severity, all four passengers were safe.
The video showing the aftermath of the Tata Nexon accident after rolling over multiple times has been shared on YouTube by Rahil Khan Vlogs on their channel. In this short video, the creator starts by mentioning that people who criticize Tata Motors for reliability, after-sales service, and other issues should watch this video. We can note that a Tata Nexon Dark Edition was flipped over on its left side in the middle of a highway.

It can be seen that one of the occupants was coming out of the front right door, which was facing upward. He immediately came out and jumped off the vehicle, while a number of people from the road were trying to flip the car back onto its wheels. The video then shows another woman trying to escape through the sunroof of the SUV.
However, by this time, the vehicle was back on its wheels, and the doors were opened. The video creator mentions that the smoke seen in the video is not from the engine. Rather, it is sodium azide gas, which is used in the airbags to inflate them. We can then note the other two passengers coming out of the Nexon.
In this short video, we can note the condition of the Tata Nexon. We can see that there were metal pipes that pierced through the bonnet and engine bay. Most likely, these are pipes seen on the highway dividers. However, how exactly this accident took place has not been revealed.

We can note that the entire front end of this vehicle is extensively damaged. Also, all of the airbags of this SUV were deployed, and most likely, this is what saved the lives of the occupants. Reportedly, this particular Tata Nexon flipped over four times on the highway before coming to a stop.
The Tata Nexon, as mentioned, was the first-ever five-star safety-rated vehicle in India. It was first tested by Global NCAP, where it scored a five-star safety rating. The current-generation model scored 32.22 points for adult protection and 44.52 points for child protection in GNCAP. As for the BNCAP scores, it scored 29.41 points out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 43.83 points out of 49 for child occupant protection.

Currently, the Tata Nexon is offered with a host of safety features. These include Anti-lock Brakes (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Traction Control (TC), six airbags (dual frontal airbags, side head curtain airbags, and side head airbags), and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Recently Tata Motors also gave the Nexon ADAS as well. It gets lane departure warning, lane keep assist, front collision warning and many other features in its ADAS suite.
