The Tata Sierra has become insanely popular in India, and the demand for this SUV has increased so much that dealerships across the country are organizing massive delivery events to deliver as many cars at a time. Recently, a total of 81 Tata Sierras were delivered to awaiting customers in Kolkata, West Bengal, and a video showing this massive event has been shared online.
The video showing the delivery event of 81 Tata Sierras at the same time has been shared on X by Tata Motors on their official page. In this short video, we can note that a number of yellow Tata Sierras were lined up, and in the background is the iconic Victoria Memorial Hall. Additionally, the same video also shows a number of other Sierras lined up for the massive delivery event.

Interestingly, 16 yellow Tata Sierras were parked in a way that reads “81” from an aerial shot. The same also shows different families being handed over the keys to their Tata Sierra SUV. This particular delivery event stretched till night because of the number of deliveries that had to be done in a single day.

This is not the first time that we are seeing a number of Tata Sierras getting delivered at the same time. Just a few days ago in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a total of 101 Tata Sierras were delivered in a single day. And before that, in Madhya Pradesh, 100 Sierras were handed over to their awaiting buyers.
Tata Motors, with the launch of the Sierra, is aiming to take down the Hyundai Creta, which has remained the top-selling mid-size SUV in the country for a long time. Tata Motors has revealed that it has received over 1,00,000 bookings for the Sierra, which at the time of launch were at 70,000.

So far, the company has managed to deliver 7,100 units of the Sierra in the month of February, and in the month of January, it sold a total of 7,003 units of this SUV. Currently, the company is unable to fulfil the demand due to production constraints at the Sanand, Gujarat manufacturing plant. It has announced that the company is working on increasing the production capacity to 15,000 units per month at the Gujarat facility.

The Tata Sierra starts at Rs 11.49 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 21.29 lakh. It is being offered with three engine options. These include a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 1.5-litre TGDi Hyperion turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. There are gearbox options of a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, and a DCT.
In terms of features, the Tata Sierra has come loaded with features including connected LED DRLs, LED headlights, connected LED taillights, 19-inch alloy wheels, flush-type door handles, a triple-screen layout, a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and many others.

The Tata Sierra currently faces stiff competition from already established SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Volkswagen Taigun. It is now also competing with the recently launched Skoda Kushaq facelift and the Renault Duster as well.
