Toyota Car Driver Miraculously Escapes After Head-On Collision With Bus: Video

Driving on Indian roads is a task that requires a lot of attention. Even a second can cost you your life. Reckless driving is sadly a common sight, and so are the accidents caused by this irresponsible behaviour. We have seen several videos where impatient car drivers are honking and causing chaos on the road. Here we have one such video of a car driver who miraculously escaped from a crash after his vehicle collided with a bus while trying to overtake on a curve.

The video has been shared by Deadly Kalesh on their X profile. The accident video was recorded on a CCTV camera installed outside a shop. The accident happened in Edappal, Malappuram.

The car belonged to a youth from Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam. In the video, we see a truck passing through the road, and we can see solid continuous lines in the middle of the road. The solid lines indicate that one should not overtake, as it is not safe. It looks like there is a curve on the road, and the camera was facing the curve.

We see a truck passing through the road, and just behind the truck, we see a Toyota Etios Liva hatchback. The car is actually not behind the bus. The driver appears to be in a hurry and is trying to overtake the bus in front. He is so committed that he probably forgets the fact that there is a curve ahead of him.

The car starts overtaking, and at the same time, a private bus comes from the opposite direction. We see the tail lights of the Toyota Etios glow, but it was too late. The car driver didn’t swerve back into his lane and crashed into the bus. The car had a head-on collision with the bus and was instantly thrown away.

On impact, the Etios Liva is pushed back, and it comes to a stop in front of the shop where the CCTV was installed. The front of the car is completely damaged, and we also see that the roof is damaged too. The doors are torn apart, and we see the driver lying unconscious on the driver’s seat.

It was a major accident, and the driver was actually lucky that he escaped with injuries. Within seconds, locals and the bus driver came running towards the car and started checking on the driver. More people gathered around the car and started pulling the doors out so that they could bring the driver out. The video ends abruptly, but we assume that the locals managed to get the driver out and take him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In this case, the car driver was clearly at fault. It was because of his impatient nature that the accident happened. He could have easily avoided this accident if he had stayed behind the truck. He could have looked for a gap on a straight section and then overtaken the truck.

Always ensure that there is no traffic coming from the opposite direction while trying to overtake. Also, never try to squeeze through narrow gaps and patiently wait for the right time to overtake. Make sure that you notify the vehicle in front while overtaking by flashing lights or honking to avoid any confusion.
