The Toyota Fortuner is one of those vehicles which, if maintained properly, can last decades and lakhs of km. Due to this, a lot of old Fortuner owners are now opting to refresh their old cars with new body kits and conversion kits. Of these, one of the most popular and unique kits is produced by Autorounders, a professional body shop, and it is called the “Spartan” kit. Well, now the same shop has created a brand-new body for the Fortuner which has taken inspiration from the newly launched Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.
The video showing how this all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado-inspired body kit has been created has been shared on YouTube by Autorounders on their channel. It starts off with the owner of the shop mentioning that this particular kit is the second in-house kit that they have developed. Prior to this, they created the “Spartan,” which is a very muscular and bold kit that gives the old Fortuners an imposing presence.

For this second kit, the owner mentions that one of their customers, who came from Indore to Mumbai, handed them the keys to his Type 2 Fortuner. But before this, they first presented him with the idea of producing this new kit and mentioned that his vehicle would be the first in India to have this particular kit. In the video, the owner of the shop can be seen showing the Fortuner owner the renderings of the body to give him an idea of what they are planning.
Soon after this, they told him that it would take them around 3 months to produce this kit and went on to select the materials for the new interior upholstery. Moving ahead, the vehicle is then seen parked at the shop, where it had been given a fiberglass front bumper on which individual elements of the body kit were being shaped.

It can be seen that all of the parts of the body kit were first made using wood. We can observe that the craftsmen in the shop were sanding and shaping the curves and body lines to make the perfect kit. The owner can also be seen adding his inputs and changing things accordingly, following which the video then shows the vehicle and the body kit parts going into the paint booth for final paint before installation on the vehicle.
After the body kit parts were painted and installed, the video then shows the final result of this Toyota Fortuner build. The owner highlights that it took them 3 months to create this all-new body kit. He highlighted that the inspiration for this kit was taken from the newly launched Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.

The owner then starts highlighting the parts of the body kit that his shop has created. At the front, he mentions that they have given this vehicle a brand-new custom front grille which has the “AR” Autorounders emblem finished in metal. He added that it has also been given a completely new bumper, which is actually made of four individual elements.
First is the main bumper, and on top of it, on both ends, they have added custom curved rectangular elements. Also, the centre part has a lower grille and a silver skid plate which protrudes similarly to the side elements, giving the bumper a very bold and muscular appearance. Additionally, he highlights that they have added squarish LED fog lights similar to the ones seen on the Prado.

Moving to the profile, the owner highlights that they have given this car wider fender flares with exposed rivets. Also, they have added black door handles, and with the satin white body color, it looks very beautiful. The owner adds that they wanted to add the door claddings which the Type 2 Fortuner comes with. However, the owner wanted them removed, so they were taken off.
Finally, the owner of the shop shows the rear end of this particular Fortuner. He mentions that they have given it a custom rear bumper which matches the aesthetics of the front and gets bold creases and a large silver skid plate. Overall, this vehicle boasts a very rugged yet sophisticated design, and it has a very unique road presence, and it turns heads everywhere it goes.

The owner also shows the interior of this SUV and mentions that they have completely updated the interior as well with new and genuine Nappa leather upholstery. Additionally, they have added a massive touchscreen infotainment system and a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado-like D-cut steering wheel with real carbon fiber.
