Another expensive luxury SUV has just reached the garage of Venu Gopalakrishnan, the founder and CEO of Kochi-based IT company Litmus 7. This time, the CEO has bought a Range Rover SV Masara edition. Muthoot Motors, the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) dealer in Kochi, commenced this delivery, the photos of which have now been shared online.
In these pictures, we see Venu receiving the vehicle from the dealership staff. The bespoke luxury SUV has an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.99 crores in India. The CEO received the vehicle together with his family.
JLR launched the Range Rover SV Masara Edition in India in June this year. The production of this special edition SUV is limited to just 12 units worldwide! The SUV has sill plates that read ‘Bespoke Masara edition 1 or 12’.
The ‘Ranthambore Edition’ launched in September 2024 was the first-ever bespoke Range Rover exclusively crafted for India. With an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.98 Crores, its production too was limited to just 12 units. The Masara edition is thus the second India-special bespoke. As JLR’s global managing director Martin Limpert told the media previously, the success of the Ranthambore edition made them roll out the Masara edition, based on the Himalayas.

This bespoke Range Rover takes inspiration from the sapphires found in the Himalayas. It comes finished in an exclusive Deep Satin Blue paint, which will never make it to other models. Several Corinthian Bronze accents can be seen on the exterior. Even the 23-inch alloy wheels come with a Bronze finish. The company has based the Masara edition on the long-wheelbase version of the Range Rover SV.

The Masara edition comes with the SV Signature Suite. This adds amenities like a powered table, refrigerated compartment, and custom glassware to the vehicle. The cabin gets a dual-tone colour scheme comprising Liberty Blue and Perlino leather.
The sense of subtle luxury and elegance that you see on the outside is kept safe inside as well. The seats get embroidery and classy trims, and accents. In addition to these, it gets features like ADAS ( Advanced Driver Assistance System), a panoramic roof, and powered seats with heating, cooling, and massage functions. It comes equipped with an air suspension as well. This SUV tries to impress its owners by pampering them to the fullest.

Under the hood of the Masara edition Range Rover is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 615 hp and 750 Nm. It gets an All Wheel Drive (AWD) system and comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SUV even has an off-road adaptive cruise control and a high/low-range gearbox on offer.
The Ranthambore Edition, on the other hand, had a smaller 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The power in this case was just around 400hp. It was based on the Autobiography P400 variant of the Range Rover.

Venu Gopalakrishnan admittedly has a great taste in cars and motorcycles. His garage has fast sports cars, performance SUVs, and even high-end luxury cars. He owns Kerala’s only Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, an Urus that has a registration plate worth Rs 46 lakh, a brand-new Revuelto (the third Lamborghini in his garage), Porsche 911 Turbo S, Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Black Badge, BMW M4 CS, and more.

He took delivery of the M4 at Kari Motor Speedway and took it to the track soon after receiving the keys. Venu’s garage also has a BMW M1000 XR and a BMW R1300 GSA adventure tourer.
