VinFast had officially launched their electric SUVs VF6 and VF7 in the Indian market a few months ago. However, after the launch, we hadn’t heard much from the brand. The next thing we know is that VinFast is delivering their new EVs to customers. We saw several videos and images of customers taking delivery of this new EV in town. As deliveries have started, we also began seeing customer reviews online. Here we have one such video, where a VinFast VF7 owner shares his experience with the EV after driving it for over 1,000 km.
The video has been shared by Swapnil Srivastava Vlogs on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks to the owner of the VF7, who is an advocate by profession. He mentions that he owns several cars and that this new VF7 has been bought for his wife. He drives a Hyundai Creta Turbo DCT as his daily driver.
The owner mentions that the reason he bought the VF7 was because he didn’t find a suitable choice in the market. Many of his friends own the Harrier.ev, and he was naturally inclined towards that. He even booked one for himself. However, before the delivery, the customer decided to take the car for a test drive and realized that the car didn’t offer sufficient space.

The owner here is 6 feet 4 inches tall, and most cars in India were not offering him ample space to sit comfortably. He was disappointed after taking the Harrier.ev test drive and decided to cancel the booking.
He was planning to bring the new car home during Diwali, but the test drive changed everything. He then started looking for other cars, especially electric vehicles, and came across the VinFast brand.
He wasn’t sure about it, but he decided to check the car first. VinFast didn’t have a dealership in Lucknow. While he was traveling for work, he found a dealership in Agra and took a test drive. He then booked the car and found that another dealership had a VF7 at their stockyard in Jaipur.
He went to Jaipur and finalized the car. He drove the test drive vehicle for over 150 km and, unlike the Harrier.ev, he was surprised with the space management as well as the fit and finish. He checked the car at the stockyard, finalized the deal, and took delivery the same evening after arranging for his wife to fly to Jaipur from Lucknow.
After delivery, the owner wanted to experience the EV, so he decided to drive the car from Jaipur to Lucknow, which is roughly 580 km. The dealership was ready to offer flatbed services, but the customer wanted to test the range, and he never faced an issue during the drive.
He speaks about the unique design and features of the car. He also talks about the soft-touch materials on the dashboard, center console, and door pads, the large touchscreen, and even the rear space. He mentioned that the car felt stable at higher speeds and that the performance is brilliant. It can do 0–100 km/h in under 6 seconds in Eco mode, which is actually quick. There are physical buttons in the cabin and most of the features are controlled using the touchscreen infotainment system.
He is very happy with the product and mentions that he is currently getting used to the EV driving style as this is his first electric car. He plans to take the car on long road trips to places like Nepal. At the moment, the customer hasn’t found any drawbacks to his decision. VinFast currently doesn’t have a widespread charging network, and because of this, they are offering a ₹75,000 discount on the car as they cannot keep up with the 3-year free charging promise.
