If you are wondering what an Indian brand is doing on a list of Chinese car launches, it should be noted that the Avinya represents Tata’s entry into the premium electric vehicle segment. The concept was showcased at the Auto Expo last year, and we recently learned that the SUV will use the iMAX platform from the Chery–Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) ecosystem in China.
Because the EV is based on a Chinese-developed platform, it is reasonable to include it in this list. The Avinya X will be the first crossover in the Avinya lineup and is expected to be sold through a dedicated sales network. Tata is likely to position Avinya as a separate premium brand with its own identity, distinct from Tata Motors' mainstream offerings.
