The Japanese automotive giant Honda Cars India on May 22nd will be officially taking the covers off the newly updated City mid-size sedan. However, just before its official launch, we now have a clear spy video showing how this sedan will look in real life. We can note that this particular sedan has already started arriving at Honda dealerships before the launch, and it gives us a clear look at what will be launched in a few days.
The video showing the new 2026 Honda City facelift at a Honda dealership has been shared on Instagram by Aryanverse on their page. We can note that the soon-to-be launched Honda City facelift was parked in front of the Araceli Honda, which is a dealership located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This means that the new model has already started reaching dealerships across North India.

Now coming to the main highlight of this video, and that is the design of the new Honda City facelift. We can note that the video starts by showing the right side of this sedan. Like most facelifts this time around as well, the silhouette of the vehicle has remained the same, and the only major highlight is the addition of all-new 5-spoke 16-inch diamond-cut and gloss black alloy wheels.
Moving ahead, we can note that the biggest highlight of the new Honda City is its all-new front fascia. This time around, Honda has actually given the new facelift a fully redesigned front end. The main highlights are the all-new sleeker and sharper-looking projector LED headlights with LED DRLs. What makes this even more special is that it also gets a connecting LED DRL which spans from one end to the other.
Apart from this, the new City facelift also gets a brand-new gloss black front grille, which looks a lot sportier than the current model. Honda has also completely changed the front bumper’s design as well, and now it looks a lot sharper and more aggressive. The current model looks very subtle and classy. However, this new one gives the front end of this sedan a very sporty appeal.

The video also gives us a sneak peek into the interior of the new upcoming sedan as well. We can observe that the overall cabin layout will be similar to that of the current model. However, it will be getting a new and slightly larger touchscreen infotainment system in the middle. Additionally, there is also ambient lighting on the dashboard as well.
Apart from these updates, the updated Honda City could also be getting a list of new features as well. It is expected to get ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, connected car tech, and a few others. This sedan is also expected to get the same automatic climate control, single-pane electric sunroof, leatherette upholstery, and Honda Sensing camera-based ADAS suite as well.

Moving to the rear end, the video shows this particular City facelift leaving the Honda dealership premises. We can note that the rear end has also been made a lot more aggressive now and looks very sharp. At the rear, this sedan gets the same LED taillights as the current model. However, it now gets a company-fitted decklid spoiler finished in body color and an all-new rear bumper which now gets a sharper-looking rear diffuser finished in the body color.

Honda is expected to carry forward the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which makes 119 bhp and 145 Nm. Transmission options offered with this powerplant include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission. Additionally, Honda on May 22nd will also launch the updated City e:HEV, which will continue to offer the same 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle strong hybrid powertrain, which makes 124 bhp and 253 Nm. This powertrain only gets an e-CVT transmission.
