The South Korean automotive giant Kia is currently preparing to launch the Syros EV in India in August 2026. It will become the brand's most affordable electric SUV, and it is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. It will be based on the K1 platform that also underpins the Hyundai Inster EV. The Syros EV will most likely be offered with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery pack options. It will retain the boxy styling of the standard Syros but add EV-specific elements, including aero wheels, revised bumpers, a front charging port, and V2L functionality.

Next up on the list is Hyundai’s most affordable electric car for India, the micro SUV codenamed HE1i. It is expected to make its debut before the end of 2026, and its pricing will most likely start from around Rs 10 lakh. This new model will directly rival the Tata Punch.ev and boast a rugged, boxy design. It will feature a split LED headlamp design, integrated roof rails, 17-inch alloy wheels, and cameras for a 360-degree view system. It is expected to use Hyundai's E-GMP(K) platform and offer 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery packs with up to 350 km of range. Features could include dual 10.25-inch screens, ventilated seats, wireless charging, a sunroof, and six airbags.

The much-awaited Brezza facelift is expected to launch towards the festive season of 2026. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 8.5 lakh and Rs 14 lakh. Its overall design will be very similar to the current model; however, it will get a revised grille, new headlamps, updated bumpers, fresh alloy wheels, and minor tweaks at the rear. The biggest update that is expected will be the offering of a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The facelift is also expected to offer more features, including a larger touchscreen, ventilated seats, a HUD, a 360-degree camera, and an underbody-mounted CNG tank option.

Mahindra's highly anticipated Vision S is expected to make its debut by late 2026, and its launch will most likely take place in early 2027. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh and go up to Rs 16 lakh. This SUV, which has been spotted on multiple occasions, has been seen with traditional upright SUV styling, round headlamps, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, a wide stance, and rugged proportions. It will be based on Mahindra's new NU-IQ architecture and will be capable of supporting petrol, hybrid, electric, and other powertrain options. Recent test mules have also revealed that it will get a massive panoramic sunroof and ADAS as well.

Skoda has officially confirmed that the Kylaq Sportline will launch in September 2026. The new variant is expected to be priced between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 13 lakh. It will be inspired by the Kushaq and Slavia Sportline models and will come offered with blacked-out exterior elements, including the roof, mirrors, badges, skid plates, and door handles. The cabin is expected to feature an all-black theme along with aluminium pedals. Mechanically, it will continue to offer the same 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which will make 115 bhp and 178 Nm, paired with manual and automatic gearbox options.

The Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast is also expected to launch the VF3 micro-SUV in India by the end of 2026. Its pricing will be around Rs 8 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. Once launched, it will become the most affordable vehicle from VinFast and will target city buyers looking for a compact EV. The VF3 will boast a distinctive boxy design, a high ground clearance of 191 mm, chunky body cladding, and a rugged mini-SUV appearance. Internationally, it is offered with multiple battery pack options. For India, the VF3 is expected to deliver around 210 km of range and will compete with the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago.ev.

The last and most important vehicle on this list is the Maruti Suzuki Fronx facelift. It is expected to launch around the festive season of 2026, and its price will be in the range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. Along with updated styling that will include new bumpers, revised lights, and new alloy wheels, the biggest highlight will be the addition of a strong-hybrid powertrain. This setup will use a 1.2-litre Z12E petrol engine as a generator that will charge the battery pack, which will then let the electric motor drive the wheels. It has been reported that Maruti is targeting a fuel efficiency figure of around 35 kmpl. The facelift could also offer ventilated seats, a larger touchscreen, and Level 2 ADAS.
