A few years ago, Bajaj Auto India launched the Bajaj Qute CNG and LPG in India. It was a four-wheeler with a roof and four seats, which was designed as a more evolved version of an autorickshaw. However, now the company is gearing up for the launch of the Bajaj Qute EV in India. This time, it will launch an affordable electric four-wheeler which could be priced around Rs 3 to 3.5 lakh. Recently, a video giving details of this upcoming vehicle has been shared online.
The video showing the upcoming Bajaj Qute electric vehicle has been shared on Instagram by The Unique Shadow on their page. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that people who want to buy a small EV for family use can now get this Bajaj Qute four-wheeler at around Rs 3 to 3.5 lakh. Following this, he then starts showing the Qute EV from the outside as well as the inside.

We can note that this tiny electric car will feature halogen headlights at the front and a matte black bumper with horizontal slats for cooling. Additionally, this vehicle also gets a single wiper on the windshield as its size is very small. Apart from these, we can note that it also boasts a roof carrier which has been fitted by the company. Soon after this, the vlogger walks towards the Qute EV to show its interior.
On the side, we can note that even though it is very small in size, it still offers four doors with black claddings, black door handles, and manually adjustable ORVMs. Following this, the vlogger then opens the door of this EV. He then highlights that it comes offered with a very normal-looking dashboard with a steering wheel with Qute badging on it. Additionally, there are stalks for turn indicators and for the windshield wiper.

Next up, he highlights that it gets a gauge cluster which displays all the essential information such as speed, battery percentage, and others. Additionally, the drive mode selector for this EV has been positioned on the right side of the steering column. We can note that it has drive, park, and reverse modes. Also, the vlogger mentions that despite being an affordable EV four-wheeler, it still offers cruise control.
The creator has shared another video of the same Bajaj Qute EV. In this video, he mentions that this is a perfect EV for city runs and small families. It also comes with an air conditioning unit on the front, and there are dials to control the fan speed and AC temperature. Additionally, there is space for a stereo system which can be installed from aftermarket shops. He also mentioned that there is also an AC unit for the rear passengers mounted on the roof.

However, it appears to be a fan system which has been attached on top to circulate the cool air which will blow from the front air conditioning blowers. He also shows the rear seats of the Bajaj Qute EV in the video.
We can note that like the front seats, the rear seats also get seatbelts for safety. The vlogger in the video has not mentioned any details about the powertrain of this EV hatchback. So, we will have to wait for the exact battery pack options and the electric motor and power figures.
At the moment, Bajaj has not officially launched the Qute EV. The main reason behind this delay in the launch is that the company is currently completing the final road testing of this vehicle.
Dealer sources from Raipur, Chhattisgarh (Vandana Bajaj), and Mumbai, Maharahstra (Suresh Autocraft) have confirmed that the vehicle is currently undergoing homologation and will be launched in the coming weeks. As for the pricing, it will be in the range of Rs 3 to 3.5 lakh.
