Honda is all set to start a new chapter in India, and as part of this strategy, it is planning to update its existing models and also introduce new ones to our market. With rising competition, it has become extremely important for Honda to come up with new products if it wants to survive in the market. Here we have a list of five upcoming Honda cars that are expected to be launched in the Indian market.
The first car on this list is the Honda City. It has been one of the oldest-selling models in the market. This mid-size sedan has been one of the most popular sedans, but due to rising competition, it has lost some of its popularity.

Honda is working on a facelift for the City, and the same has been spotted testing abroad. Now we have reports that Honda is planning to launch the updated Honda City with revised headlamps, grille, bumper, alloy wheels, tail lamps, and an updated cabin next month. The official launch of the City facelift is scheduled for May 22, 2026.
The City will continue to come with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual and CVT gearbox options, along with the e:HEV variant, which is the strong hybrid version featuring a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle engine paired with an e-CVT gearbox.

Honda will also be launching the premium mid-size SUV ZR-V in India this year. This will be a CBU, which means it is going to be an expensive car. It is internationally positioned below the popular CR-V. It recently received an update, and as part of that, Honda replaced the old 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated strong hybrid petrol engine. It is now available with a strong hybrid engine only.
As this is a premium product, Honda is offering features like Google Assistant, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Honda Sensing (ADAS), a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, multi-zone climate control, and many more. Honda is expected to launch the ZR-V on May 22, 2026, in India, and it will compete with the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan in the segment.
Next on this list is the only mid-size SUV in Honda’s current lineup. It is actually an underrated SUV, and it is sad to see the Elevate get lost in the sea of SUVs. Honda initially had plans to come up with an EV version of the Elevate, but for multiple reasons, the plan got shelved.

Now, they are working on a hybrid version of the Elevate. The same has been spotted testing a couple of times. It would get minor cosmetic changes over the current version and would also feature a hybrid system.
As the Honda Elevate is an affordable mid-size SUV, the company is working on a lightweight, efficient, and affordable hybrid technology with a high amount of localisation. This would help them price the Elevate Hybrid aggressively. It will be based on the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the current version. It remains to be seen whether Honda will introduce a new hybrid system or continue with the existing one. The launch of the Elevate Hybrid is expected to happen around the festive season this year.

This would be the halo product from Honda. It is a two-door coupe and is expected to be launched in 2027. Just like the ZR-V, the Prelude will also be a CBU, and it will probably be the most expensive Honda in India once launched. The coupe will come with a 2.0-litre strong hybrid petrol engine that generates around 200 PS. It is expected to be priced in the ₹70–80 lakh bracket.

Honda's already begun testing its first electric car for the Indian market - the Zero Alpha SUV. The Zero Alpha will be built in India, both for domestic and export markets. It'll be launched in the first quarter of 2027. The Zero Alpha will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki eVitara and Hyundai Creta Electric. Details about the battery pack have not been revealed yet. Expect about 60-70 kWh, and a claimed range in excess of 500 Kms.
