Kia has been one of those brands that rose to popularity almost immediately after entering the Indian market. Its first product, the Kia Seltos, played a huge role in this success, and the company maintained the momentum by launching more products and expanding its portfolio. The year 2026 has been no different, as Kia launched the new-generation Seltos earlier this year. Apart from the Seltos, here is a list of five more SUVs that Kia is expected to launch in the Indian market soon.
Kia has been working on the electric version of the Syros SUV for quite some time now. The EV has been spotted testing multiple times, and it appears that Kia is now just a few months away from launching it.

The exterior design of the Syros EV is expected to be heavily inspired by the ICE-powered version. However, we are likely to see minor changes in the form of a revised front bumper, grille, tail lamps, and alloy wheels. The SUV is expected to offer a spacious cabin and a long list of premium features, similar to its ICE counterpart.
The Syros EV is likely to be offered with 42 kWh and 49 kWh battery pack options. These are expected to deliver a claimed driving range of around 300–400 km on a single charge.
Kia launched the new-generation Seltos earlier this year. Like its predecessor, the SUV has been receiving a positive response from buyers and has been consistently selling around 10,000 units every month. To further strengthen its appeal, Kia is planning to introduce a couple of new variants.

The company is reportedly working on GTX+ and X-Line+ (O) variants for the Seltos. These new trims are expected to be launched around the festive season this year.
The upcoming GTX+ variant is likely to offer additional features over the standard GTX trim. Some of the highlights could include a dashcam, head-up display, and an air purifier.
Similarly, the X-Line+ (O) variant is expected to offer the same set of features while retaining the exclusive matte grey paint scheme and rugged exterior styling associated with the X-Line range.
Kia is also expected to launch the premium seven-seater Sorento SUV in India this year. It will be offered with a hybrid powertrain and is likely to become the brand's first strong-hybrid model in the Indian market.

The Sorento is already on sale in several international markets. For India, it is expected to receive a hybrid petrol powertrain specifically developed for local requirements. Reports suggest that it could use a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a hybrid system, although exact specifications are not known at the moment.
While the Sorento was initially expected to rival the Mahindra XUV 7XO, recent reports indicate that Kia could position the SUV at a higher price point.
Another highly anticipated SUV from Kia is the Seltos Hybrid. The new-generation Seltos has been designed with hybrid compatibility in mind. As we already know, Kia is expected to introduce the hybrid version only after Hyundai launches the hybrid-powered next-generation Creta.

The Seltos Hybrid is likely to use the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as part of its hybrid system. The SUV is expected to be launched next year and should offer an ideal balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
Another successful model in Kia's lineup is the Sonet, and the company is now working on the next-generation version of this sub-4-metre SUV. Test mules of the upcoming model have already been spotted on Indian roads.

The new Sonet is expected to be based on the K1 platform. Exterior highlights are likely to include split headlamps, large LED DRLs, a redesigned grille, and a revised bumper design.
The SUV is also expected to adopt a more boxy appearance and could ride on 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it is likely to feature dual 12.3-inch curved displays, sleek Seltos-inspired LED tail lamps, leatherette upholstery, ventilated seats, electrically adjustable front seats, a large panoramic sunroof, ADAS features, and several other premium amenities.
The next-generation Sonet is expected to continue with the existing petrol and diesel engine options. A strong-hybrid version is also likely to join the lineup later, possibly by 2028 or 2029.
