In the last three months, we have seen several new cars get launched in the Indian market. The second quarter of 2026 has started, and just like in previous months, there are a bunch of new cars getting launched in the Indian market. Some of them are from the mass segment, while others are from the premium and luxury segments. Here, we have a list of four mass-market cars that are launching in the Indian market in April.

The first car on this list is the Taigun. This mid-size SUV is getting a facelift, like the Skoda Kushaq, and the official launch is expected to happen on 9th April 2026. The official teaser videos are already available online, and from the spy pictures and videos, we have an idea of what to expect from the upcoming Taigun facelift.
It will come with revised headlamps, a connecting LED bar, a revised grille, revised front and rear bumpers, tail lamps, and so on. On the inside, the Taigun facelift will get a similar-looking design to the current version, with features like a panoramic sunroof, a larger driver display, a rear seat massager function, and more. It will be offered with a 1.0-litre TSI engine with a manual and a new 8-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.5-litre TSI engine with a 7-speed DSG.

VinFast is gearing up to launch its third product in India, the MPV7. It is an electric MPV and will come with a boxy exterior design, featuring VinFast’s signature LED DRLs and grille at the front. It will compete with the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis EV, and we expect VinFast to launch the 7-seater MPV at a very aggressive price.
VinFast is focusing on interior space with this MPV, and we are not expecting a lot of premium features that we have seen in other cars in this segment. It will be offered with disc brakes on all four wheels, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display (which also works as the instrument cluster), leatherette seats finished in a black-and-brown theme, automatic climate control, a reverse parking camera, sensors, and more.
It will come with a 60.14 kWh battery pack that produces 201 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. This setup is expected to deliver a claimed driving range of around 450 km. The MPV7 is expected to be priced aggressively and will rival the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis EV. Official bookings for the VF MPV7 have already started, and the official launch is expected to happen by 15 April.

MG’s flagship SUV, the Majestor, will be replacing the Gloster in the Indian market. The official launch of the Majestor is expected to happen on April 20, 2026. It is a feature-loaded SUV that offers a strong mix of premium features and off-road capabilities.
The boxy SUV comes with a massive front grille, LED DRLs, vertically stacked LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED tail lamps. Inside, it offers premium leatherette upholstery, seats with memory, ventilation, and massage functions, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, and more.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine paired with an automatic transmission, generating 215 PS and 478 Nm of peak torque.

Toyota’s first electric SUV for India, the eBella, is also expected to be launched in the market this month. It is actually a rebadged version of the eVitara, which is already on sale in India. It will come with a Toyota-specific exterior design and will be offered in E1, E2, and E3 variants.
The SUV will come loaded with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, a fixed single-pane glass roof, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and ventilated front seats.
It will be offered with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery pack options, delivering a claimed range of 440 km and 543 km, respectively. The official launch and pricing of the Toyota eBella are expected to be announced in April.
