Honda has once again made a buzz in India with the launch of the newly facelifted 2026 City mid-size sedan. Now, after its launch, please don't think that Honda is going to stop. The company is now gearing up for the launch of 5 new models in India, which will help it grab more market share in the country. So, without any delay, here are the details of the upcoming Honda cars in India after the Honda City facelift.

Honda, alongside the launch of the new City facelift, has unveiled the premium ZR-V Hybrid SUV. It has revealed that it will be launched in India by the end of 2026. This SUV, which globally sits above the CR-V in Honda’s global lineup, will be brought to India as a CBU import.
In terms of design, the ZR-V boasts crossover-inspired styling with sleek LED projector headlamps, integrated LED DRLs, a clamshell bonnet, and a large front grille. The SUV also gets 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, black body cladding, a sloping roofline, a shark-fin antenna, and wraparound LED tail lamps.
The ZR-V will measure 4,568 mm in length and offer a wheelbase of 2,657 mm. It will also offer around 180 mm of ground clearance and over 1,000 litres of boot space with the second row folded. On the inside, Honda will offer a premium cabin with an all-black interior theme and soft-touch materials.
Its list of features will include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, powered front seats, multi-zone climate control, an electric tailgate, a 360-degree camera, a lane change monitor, and Honda Sensing ADAS with 11 airbags.
Powering the SUV will be a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine producing 184 PS and 315 Nm of torque. This engine will come mated to an eCVT gearbox, and the SUV is also expected to get AWD technology. Honda claims that this SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds, and despite this, it will offer an efficiency of 22.80 kmpl. It will most likely be priced in the range of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 60 lakh ex-showroom.

Honda has also confirmed its entry into the Indian passenger EV market, and the first electric SUV from the brand will be the all-new 0 Alpha EV. This electric SUV has already started road testing in India, and it is expected to launch in 2027.
The 0 Alpha EV has replaced the Elevate EV project, which was reportedly in the works. In terms of design, the 0 Alpha EV will offer very futuristic styling with a boxy silhouette, an upright front fascia, a vertically stacked LED lighting setup, and a full-width LED strip.
The SUV will also get an illuminated Honda logo, aerodynamic 19-inch alloy wheels, body cladding, a sloping windscreen, and a distinctive U-shaped LED tail lamp setup at the rear. Inside the cabin, the 0 Alpha EV SUV is expected to offer a flat-floor spacious cabin with advanced connectivity features and premium interiors.
Honda is also expected to equip the SUV with a large infotainment screen, a digital instrument gauge cluster, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated seats, and advanced safety technology. As for the battery pack, the 0 Alpha EV is expected to come with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options. The real-world driving range could be around 450 to 500 km.
Reports have suggested that it will most likely use a single-motor front-wheel-drive setup. The 0 Alpha EV is expected to be manufactured locally in India. This will help Honda price it aggressively against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. Most likely, it will be priced in the range of Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

Honda is also planning to launch the iconic Prelude nameplate in India. The all-new sixth-generation Prelude was recently showcased globally at the Japan Mobility Show, and it will make its India debut later in 2026. This sporty coupe will be brought to India as a limited-volume CBU import, and it will become Honda’s first-ever two-door car in the country.
The new Prelude and Civic Type R share a lot of mechanicals. It will come powered by a 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid engine, which will come paired with dual electric motors. This setup will produce around 200 hp and 315 Nm of torque. This halo product for Honda in India is expected to be priced at around Rs 80 lakh ex-showroom.

Honda has recently officially confirmed that it is currently developing a brand-new sub-compact SUV for India. This upcoming model is expected to launch by 2028. It will rival the best-selling SUVs in India, which include the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
This upcoming SUV is extremely important for Honda because the sub-4m SUV segment is currently among the highest-selling segments in the Indian market. The last time Honda had a product in this segment was the WR-V crossover, which was discontinued back in 2023.
Honda’s sales volumes in India have been declining steadily over the years, and this new SUV could help the brand regain lost market share. All of the cars in this segment are extremely popular because they offer SUV styling, high ground clearance, practicality, and lower taxation benefits under sub-4m regulations.
Currently, Honda has not revealed many details about this SUV. However, most likely, to make this SUV competitive against rivals, Honda will have to offer multiple engine options, a feature-loaded cabin, a strong safety package, and aggressive pricing. The company is also currently focusing heavily on cost optimisation because pricing will play a crucial role in the success of this SUV.
The rivals in this segment already offer features like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS, turbo-petrol engines, and connected car technology. It is believed that this SUV will be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh.

Apart from the sub-4m SUV, Honda has also confirmed that it will launch a new Creta-rivalling compact SUV after 2028. This SUV is expected to replace the Elevate in the future, as the current model has not been able to make a significant impact in the market compared to its rivals, the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, along with others.
At the moment, Honda has not revealed any major details about this SUV. However, reports have suggested that the company is planning to offer this SUV with multiple powertrain options, which include a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, a strong-hybrid setup, and an electric powertrain as well.
Compared to the Elevate, this new SUV is expected to come with a much more feature-loaded cabin and premium interiors. Honda will also heavily focus on hybrid technology and connected features in order to make this SUV more competitive in the segment.
