
Hyundai Motor India Ltd launched the all-new Venue SUV in the Indian market last year. Months after its launch, Hyundai has announced that they have received 1 lakh bookings for the Venue SUV. As part of the celebration, Hyundai also introduced a new diesel variant to the lineup. Hyundai introduced the new HX8 Diesel AT variant in the market. The newly introduced HX8 Diesel AT variant has been launched at Rs 13.70 lakh, ex-showroom.

The newly introduced diesel automatic transmission variant of the Venue is actually a move by Hyundai to enhance the Hyundai Venue’s accessibility among customers. The HX8 variant with the diesel engine offers a good mix of features, comfort, efficiency and refinement.
The new HX8 Diesel AT variant offers features like front-row ventilated seats, dual-tone leatherette seats with VENUE branding, electric 4-way driver seat adjustment, controller over-the-air (OTA) vehicle updates, Hyundai Bluelink (connected car technology), electric parking brake with auto hold, rear disc brakes, ambient lighting on the crash pad and central console, drive mode select (Eco, Normal, Sport), traction control modes (Sand, Mud, Snow) and paddle shifters.

The diesel version of the Hyundai Venue is powered by the proven U2 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine that generates 115 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine is known for its efficiency, torque and performance. The diesel engine on the Hyundai Venue offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.99 kmpl for the manual and 17.9 kmpl with the 6-speed automatic transmission.
Hyundai Venue is one of the most premium and advanced SUVs in the sub-4 metre SUV segment. The SUV is available with two more engine options, both petrol. In the lower variants, there is a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine that generates 85 Ps and 114 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a manual transmission.

The next petrol engine on offer is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 120 Ps and 172 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1 lakh booking milestone is actually a sign that shows how popular the Hyundai Venue is in the sub-4 metre segment. It competes with the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Skoda Kylaq, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger in the segment.
The price for a brand-new Hyundai Venue now starts at Rs 8 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes all the way up to Rs 15.69 lakh, ex-showroom.
