JSW MG Motor India is currently working on multiple new products for the Indian market. Some of these models will replace existing ones, while others are aimed at creating a space for themselves. Apart from ICE vehicles, MG is also focusing on the electric segment, and that is the reason why it has even set up an EV-exclusive premium dealership network under the name MG Select. Here we have a list of four upcoming electric cars that JSW MG Motor will be launching in the market soon.

MG is planning to introduce the iM6 luxury electric SUV-coupe in India. It will be sold as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and will be available exclusively through premium MG Select dealerships. It is expected to be a premium vehicle when it comes to pricing and will rival the likes of the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5. MG is expected to launch the iM6 by August 2026.
This means it will be priced between ₹50 lakh and ₹70 lakh. Internationally, it is offered with a 100 kWh battery pack and comes in both RWD and AWD versions. The Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) version generates 401 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of 625 km. The AWD variant generates 741 bhp and 802 Nm of torque.

Next on the list is the MG S5. It will replace the current ZS EV. The ZS EV was MG’s first electric vehicle in India, and due to multiple reasons, it did not work well in our market. The upcoming EV will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta Electric in the segment. It is expected to be priced between ₹22 lakh and ₹28 lakh. The S5 EV will be built on the Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), and in terms of dimensions, it is larger than the outgoing ZS EV.
MG will offer premium features like a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone connectivity, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and Level 2 ADAS. It will be offered with 49 kWh and 64 kWh battery pack options. The SUV is expected to offer a claimed driving range of around 500 km and generate 167 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.

The Starlight 560 will be MG’s first-ever PHEV for the Indian market. However, did you know that MG is also planning to bring the pure EV version of the same SUV to our market? The electric version of the Starlight 560 will look similar to the PHEV. The front grille, along with minor EV-specific changes, will be made to the SUV to give it a different look.
The EV will also be a 7-seater and is likely to compete with the likes of the Mahindra XEV 9S. It will be offered with a decent number of features, just like any MG vehicle. It will use a 56.7 kWh battery pack that offers a range of around 500 km on a full charge. This battery pack will power an electric motor at the front that generates 136 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque.

MG has been planning an affordable electric hatchback to be positioned between the Comet EV and Windsor EV. It will directly rival the likes of the Tata Tiago.ev. The Binguo EV will be offered as a practical daily driver and will come with a decent number of features, including dual 10.25-inch floating screens. It will support DC fast charging and will be offered with either a 31.9 kWh battery that offers a range of 333 km or a 37.9 kWh battery that offers a range of 410 km.
