Mahindra is raising prices across its petrol and diesel SUV lineup by up to 2.5 percent, effective April 6, 2026. The average increase across the portfolio works out to 1.6 percent. The revision covers the entire internal combustion engine range including the Thar, Thar Roxx, Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, XUV 3XO, XUV700, and Bolero, as well as commercial vehicles. It does not cover the Born Electric line-up or the recently launched XUV7XO.

On the XUV7XO specifically, Mahindra has price-protected the first 40,000 bookings. Customers within that batch will take delivery at the original prices, which run from Rs 13.66 lakh to Rs 25.07 lakh. Once those 40,000 units are delivered, the revised pricing will apply to subsequent buyers.
Applying the average 1.6 percent hike to current prices gives a rough sense of what changes from next week. The XUV 3XO, currently priced from Rs 7.37 lakh to Rs 14.55 lakh, would shift to approximately Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 14.78 lakh.

The Thar Roxx, which runs from Rs 12.39 lakh to Rs 22.25 lakh, would move to roughly Rs 12.59 lakh to Rs 22.61 lakh. The Scorpio-N, priced between Rs 13.49 lakh and Rs 24.34 lakh, would likely land between Rs 13.71 lakh and Rs 24.73 lakh. These are estimates based on the average figure. Actual hikes will vary by variant and model.
The company has attributed the increase to a combination of rising input costs, with steel and precious metal prices seeing a sharp rise in recent months. Mahindra last raised prices in March 2025, when the hike was up to 3 percent. The company had also held back a price revision in January to preserve the benefit of the GST rate reductions that came through late last year.
This is not an isolated move. Tata Motors raised prices from April 1, with a weighted average increase of 0.5 percent across its ICE passenger vehicle range and up to 1.5 percent on commercial vehicles. JSW MG Motor, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz also announced fresh pricing from April 1. The broad direction across manufacturers is the same: input cost pressures that were deferred through late 2025 are now being passed on.
For buyers sitting on the fence on a Mahindra ICE SUV, the window to book at the existing price is effectively closed unless a dealer can confirm an April 5 invoice date. The XUV7XO exception is worth noting separately: if you are within the first 40,000 bookings, you are protected. If you are booking now, verify your queue position before assuming you are covered under the old price.

The Born Electric models including the BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S are unaffected by this round of increases. Those three recently crossed the 50,000 cumulative sales mark and are already running at a production rate of 8,000 units per month.
