Maruti Suzuki is one of the largest car manufacturers in India, and they are known for offering products for almost all types of car buyers. Maruti Suzuki has gained popularity in the Indian market for its affordability, low cost of maintenance, and widespread service network. Like most brands, Maruti is also working on expanding its lineup with new products and improving its existing ones. Like many brands, Maruti is also trying its luck in the 7-seater category. Here, we have a list of three such 7-seater Maruti Suzuki models that are expected to be launched in the market.

The first one on this list is an electric MPV. This is currently known by the codename YMC. It is probably going to be the second electric vehicle from Maruti after the eVitara. It will be based on the same platform as the eVitara and will use the HEARTECT-e skateboard platform. It is a born-electric platform that is suitable for multiple body styles.
This platform prioritises battery packaging and comfort. Like most EVs, it will offer a flat floor, which would result in better cabin space too. It will be a three-row, seven-seater electric MPV, which is expected to compete with the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis EV. It is expected to be offered with the same 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs. At the moment, we have no clarity on the exterior design of the upcoming eMPV, but we won’t be surprised if Maruti decides to go with a subtle design language similar to the eVitara.
It is expected to offer features like Level 2 ADAS, electric seats, seat ventilation, a sunroof or a closed glass roof, and many more.
Coming to the launch, it was earlier expected to be launched by September this year. However, we saw how Maruti faced multiple issues with the production and launch of the eVitara. Given this, we assume that Maruti has pushed the launch of this MPV by at least a year.

The Maruti Ertiga is currently one of the best-selling MUVs from Maruti in the Indian market. It is popular among customers from both private and commercial segments. We currently have the second-generation Ertiga, which was launched in the market back in 2018. It received a minor facelift a couple of years ago with a new grille and a few other small changes.
The next-generation Ertiga is at least a couple of years away, and it looks like Maruti might offer another facelift before that. As part of the facelift, we expect Maruti to introduce cosmetic changes along with new features, including a larger touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, and more.
The engine in the Ertiga facelift is expected to remain the same as the current one. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission options. It will also offer a CNG option, and we will have to wait and see whether Maruti will introduce its underbody CNG technology with the Ertiga facelift. The next-generation Ertiga, when it arrives, might come with strong hybrid technology too.

The flagship MPV from Maruti Suzuki, the Invicto, as we know, is a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross. Toyota has announced that they will be discontinuing the Innova Crysta next year, and with that, Toyota might also introduce an update for the Hycross. If Toyota offers a facelift or update for the Hycross, we expect the same to happen with the Invicto as well.
The Invicto is actually a suitable option for those who are looking for a large MPV without Level 2 ADAS and other advanced features. It is actually a better option than a Hycross as it is cheaper and the waiting period on Invicto is less when compared to some of Hycross's variants. It is available with the same 2.0-litre strong hybrid petrol engine as the Hycross, and the same is expected to continue with the facelift too.
