Maruti Suzuki is preparing an update for the hot-selling Brezza. Expected to arrive in mid-2026, the Brezza facelift will have minor design changes and will see the addition of features. It has now been spied testing again, this time in Shimla. Here’s everything we get to learn from the camouflaged test mule.
The latest spy sighting has surfaced on the Instagram page CarIndiaNews. The mule is heavily camouflaged. The page, however, mentions that it will come with new connected LED DRLs at the front, and notable design changes at the rear. As confirmed by a previous sighting, the updated Brezza will get a new set of alloy wheels.
It will also get a refreshed front grille and new bumpers at the front and rear. The silhouette and proportions, as can be seen in the video, are the same as those of the outgoing model. This approach is common with standard lfecycle updates of car and SUV models.

As can be seen in the video, the facelifted Brezza will come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system- likely a 10.1-inch unit. This setup is already on offer on models like the Grand Vitara. The outgoing Brezza has a 9-inch infotainment system. The new Brezza will offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on higher trims. The fit and finish and material quality will also improve on the upcoming vehicle.
Though not visible in this video, the facelift will likely get a new, better instrument cluster as well. The outgoing model has a semi-digital unit. We also expect Maruti Suzuki to introduce ventilated seats on the facelift. This is now becoming increasingly common in the segment and its inclusion directly strengthens the Brezza’s appeal.
In the video, we can also see the 360-degree camera. The post also mentions that a new dual-tone colour scheme and refreshed interior design can be expected on the facelift.

Mechanically, the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Brezza will continue with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 103 hp and 137 Nm. The CNG option will remain part of the lineup. The CNG version will feature an underbody tank, just like what we see on the Victoris. This will liberate a lot of usable boot space.
On the outgoing Brezza, the CNG tank sits in the boot, eating into the usable space. The new model is expected to feature dual-cylinder CNG technology. These will sit under the boot floor and will significantly improve the practicality.
The company will introduce a six-speed manual gearbox in place of the outgoing model’s five-speed unit. The inclusion of the extra gear allows for better distribution of ratios. This improves low-speed drivability in cities and reduces engine stress on highways. The torque converter automatic transmission is set to continue.

Maruti Suzuki is also expected to introduce a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine on the updated Brezza. This is the same engine that powers the Fronx Turbo variants. It produces around 100 hp and 150 Nm there.
The Brezza facelift is likely to start at around Rs 8.50 lakh, ex-showroom. This will mark a slight increase over the current base price of Rs 8.26 lakh, ex-showroom. Higher variants will likely sit in the Rs 14-15 lakh range. When launched, the new Brezza will compete with the likes of Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and other B-segment SUVs.
