Over the last few years, Maruti Suzuki has understood that the current market trend is of SUVs. As a result, it has actively launched new SUVs, and it has plans to launch even more SUVs in the coming days. Currently, Maruti Suzuki has five new SUVs in its launch pipeline, and if you are someone who wants to own an SUV from the largest carmaker in India, then you have come to the right spot.

In the last few months, test mule sightings of the Brezza facelift have become very frequent. Recently, another test mule was spotted on the road, which revealed a few new key details of the upcoming SUV. It has been noted that on the outside, the Brezza facelift will feature minor cosmetic changes instead of a complete redesign.
The SUV is expected to get a revised grille, updated front bumper design, reshaped fog lamp housings, and a thicker silver skid plate. The Brezza facelift’s test mule was also seen with a radar housing in the grille, which means it could get Level 2 ADAS features.
As for the updates on the inside, Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer a larger 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen. It is also expected to get a slightly revised dashboard layout and a new color theme for the cabin. Powertrain options of the Brezza will remain the same as the current model.
However, there will be an addition of a new 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine from the Fronx. This engine could also get a 6-speed manual gearbox as well. The current 1.5-litre petrol engine and CNG variants will also be offered, and the CNG variant could get an underbody CNG tank. It is expected to make its debut in the coming few months, most likely around the festive season.

The Fronx is currently one of the hottest-selling models in Maruti Suzuki’s lineup. It was first launched in 2023, and finally, the company is gearing up for the launch of its first major update. Recently, heavily camouflaged test mules of the Fronx facelift have been spotted testing on Indian roads.
It has been noted that the updated Fronx is expected to get revised front and rear bumpers along with updated LED tail lamps. The Fronx facelift and hybrid are also expected to get Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats, and a number of other premium features. Test mules have already been seen with a LIDAR unit.
Now, the biggest highlight of the upcoming Fronx will be a new series hybrid powertrain. This strong hybrid system is also known as a range extender system. In this setup, the petrol engine will not directly drive the wheels. Instead, it will work as a generator to charge the battery pack. Meanwhile, the electric motor alone will power the wheels.
This new hybrid system will use the 1.2-litre Z12E petrol engine as its base. The same engine is currently used in the new Swift and Dzire. It has been reported that it could offer a fuel efficiency of around 35 kmpl. This will make it India's most fuel-efficient car. As for the launch, the Fronx facelift and series hybrid are expected to make their debut by the end of this year.

Maruti Suzuki launched the Grand Vitara mid-size SUV back in 2022. Ever since then, it has only given it a few minor updates. However, it is now due for a major generation change. So, to keep the Grand Vitara competitive in the crowded mid-size SUV segment, Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce a facelift around the festive season.
Its exterior updates are expected to include a redesigned grille, revised bumpers, updated LED lighting signatures, and new 17-inch alloy wheels. As for the interior, the SUV could get a larger 10.1-inch infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking.
Mechanically, the Grand Vitara facelift is expected to remain the same. It will continue to offer the 1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol engine, the strong hybrid setup, and the CNG option. Reports have also suggested that the CNG variants could get an underbody tank layout like the Victoris.

Currently, Maruti Suzuki does not have a flagship 7-seater SUV in India. However, the company is now preparing to launch an all-new 7-seater SUV based on the Grand Vitara. This SUV has been internally codenamed Y17. Recently, a few test mules of this SUV have been spotted testing in the country with a longer wheelbase and stretched rear overhang.
These changes will help in accommodating the third row of seats. It is also expected to get a more upright rear profile to improve headroom for third-row passengers. As for the features, it is expected to get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, and a full suite of Level 2 ADAS features.
Maruti Suzuki is also expected to offer six airbags as standard. Powertrain options will most likely remain the same as the Grand Vitara. They will include the 1.5-litre petrol mild hybrid and strong hybrid setups. Once launched, it will take on rivals such as the Tata Safari and the Mahindra XUV 7XO. The launch is expected to take place around the Diwali festive season or by the end of 2026.

Last on the list is the Maruti Y43, which will replace the recently discontinued Ignis hatchback. Unlike the Ignis, the Y43 will be positioned as a micro SUV and will rival the super-popular Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, and the Citroen C3.
The Y43 will most likely sit below the Brezza in Maruti Suzuki’s SUV lineup and could be sold through Nexa dealerships. Reports have suggested that it could get the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine from the new Swift and Dzire. Maruti Suzuki could additionally offer a CNG powertrain option as well. Pricing of the Y43 is expected to range between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, and its launch could take place later this year or by early 2027.
