Just a couple of days ago, JSW MG Motor India launched a new and affordable version of its popular electric car, the Windsor, in India. This time around, this SUV has been launched specifically for fleet operators, and it has been introduced with a price tag of Rs 13.49 lakh. Recently, a video showing the Windsor Commute arriving at a dealership has been shared online.
The video of the Windsor Commute getting unloaded from the delivery truck has been shared on YouTube by The Rajat Vlogs on their channel. It starts off with a side profile shot of the Windsor Commute on the road. We can note that the vehicle is equipped with 17-inch steel wheels without any wheel covers. The base Excite variant of the Windsor EV also gets 17-inch steel wheels.

However, the Excite variant gets black steel wheels with aero-efficient wheel covers, which give it an alloy wheel-like appearance. Next up, we can note that apart from the wheels, the rest of the design looks identical to the standard Excite variant. It still gets the same ORVM-mounted LED turn indicators and flush-type door handles, which give it a premium look.
Next up, the video then shows the front end of the Windsor Commute. We can note that it once again looks the same as the Excite variant. It gets the same LED projector headlights on the front, and we can note that there is still the connecting LED DRL on top. However, in the Commute version, these will not be functional.

Soon after this, the video then shows the interior of the Windsor Commute. We can observe that the biggest cost-cutting measure used by MG is the removal of the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, which we have seen on the Excite variant. Apart from this, there is only one screen, which is the 7-inch digital instrument gauge cluster for the driver.
The Windsor Commute gets a basic infotainment system with USB connectivity, FM radio, and Bluetooth. However, despite being the affordable version for fleets, MG is offering the Windsor Commute with cruise control, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power windows, manual air conditioning, manually adjustable ORVMs, 1 Type-C charging port and 1 Type-A charging port at the front, and 1 Type-C charging port at the rear.

As for the upholstery, the fleet version of the Windsor gets a black interior theme with subtle gold accents. It also gets fabric upholstery instead of leatherette to save cost. The company, however, has kept the reclining rear seats to provide rear passengers with comfort. Other notable highlights include 2 airbags, all four disc brakes, hill-hold assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and 3-point seatbelts for all occupants.
Soon after this, the video then shows the rear end of the Windsor Commute. We can observe that the vehicle gets the same LED taillights. However, like the front, it will not get a connecting light bar in the middle. Additionally, there is a Commute badge on the rear right side of the tailgate.

MG is offering the Windsor Commute with a 38 kWh battery pack, which is the same as the standard model. It also gets the same 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque-producing electric motor. The ARAI-certified range of the 38 kWh battery pack is 332 km. It supports AC fast charging up to 7.4 kW and can charge the vehicle from 10 percent to 100 percent in 7 hours. Meanwhile, DC fast charging with 45 kW chargers will take 45 minutes to go from 20 to 80 percent. As mentioned, the Windsor Commute has been launched at Rs 13.49 lakh for fleet operators.
