Tata Motors, despite becoming the second best-selling automaker in India, is not slowing down. We are saying this because the company has now lined up 6 new cars for India. These will be a mix of electric and ICE models, and without wasting your time, we are giving you all the details of these upcoming cars.

On the 28th of May, Tata Motors will be officially launching the newly facelifted Tiago hatchback. However, before its official launch, the company has fully revealed its exterior design. This updated hatchback now gets a major exterior refresh and looks a lot more premium and modern compared to the current model.
At the front, the Tiago facelift gets a completely redesigned fascia with a sleek gloss black grille, which is now a single-piece unit. Tata has also shifted the cooling setup to the lower section, and it now boasts a larger air dam on the bumper. The front bumper itself has been redesigned, and the amount of chrome has also been reduced.
Another major highlight is the addition of all-new LED headlamps with DRL eyelids, which make the hatchback look a lot sharper. Tata has also added a front camera, which will be part of the 360-degree camera setup. Moving to the side profile, the overall silhouette remains unchanged.
However, it now gets stylish 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with a very intricate design. The wheel arches now feature black cladding, and the ORVMs are finished in black and also get integrated cameras. At the rear, Tata has redesigned the LED taillights, which now feature sleek LED detailing. The rear bumper has also been revised and now features parking sensors and a reverse camera.
Although Tata has not yet officially revealed the interior of the Tiago facelift, it is expected to come loaded with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charging pad, a digital instrument cluster, and automatic climate control.
Powertrain options will remain unchanged with the Tiago facelift. The hatchback will continue to offer the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine, which makes 86 PS and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Tata will also continue offering the iCNG version with the dual-cylinder setup, which produces 75.5 PS and 96.5 Nm of torque.

Along with the launch of the ICE Tiago facelift on May 28th, Tata Motors will launch the updated Tiago.ev facelift. It has already been unveiled in the same video as the Tiago facelift. Like the current model, the new Tiago.ev will continue to share most of its design with the standard hatchback. However, there are a few EV-specific changes.
At the front, the Tiago.ev gets a body-coloured closed-off grille, unlike the gloss black grille on the standard model. The front bumper has also been revised and gets a smaller air opening for cooling the battery and electric motor. Apart from this, the LED headlamps and front camera setup remain the same as the ICE version.
The rear profile also looks nearly identical to the standard model and features LED taillights, an integrated roof spoiler, a shark-fin antenna, and a rear wiper and washer setup. The biggest upgrades on the Tiago.ev facelift will be in terms of the powertrain and battery technology.
Reports suggest that Tata Motors will discontinue the smaller 19 kWh battery pack and make the 24 kWh battery pack the standard option. Meanwhile, the long-range variants are expected to get a larger 30 kWh battery pack, which could offer a real-world driving range of around 366 km on a single charge.
Tata is also expected to introduce new prismatic battery cells sourced from Gotion, which are more energy-dense than the current cylindrical cells. Another major update will be the addition of Tata’s latest 6-in-1 i-drive motor borrowed from the Punch.ev. This motor is expected to produce around 80 to 88 PS and 140 Nm of torque. Faster DC charging support above 50 kW is also expected with the updated model.

The Tata Sierra.ev has already become one of the most anticipated upcoming EV SUVs in India. Earlier, reports suggested that Tata Motors would launch this SUV on May 22. However, the launch has now reportedly been delayed, and it is expected to make its debut between July and September 2026.
Once launched, the Sierra.ev will sit between the Curvv.ev and Harrier.ev in Tata’s electric SUV lineup. It will directly rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. The Sierra.ev will be based on Tata’s new acti.ev+ architecture, and Tata has already confirmed that it will come with both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
Lower variants of the Sierra.ev are expected to get a single-motor setup, while the higher variants could feature dual motors and AWD technology. Presently, Tata Motors has not officially revealed the battery specifications yet. However, reports suggest that the Sierra.ev could get 55 kWh and 65 kWh battery pack options. The larger battery pack is expected to offer around 500 km of claimed range.
In terms of features, the Sierra.ev is expected to come loaded with a triple-screen dashboard, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, premium audio system, connected car technology, and ADAS features. Pricing of the Sierra.ev is expected to remain in the range of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

Tata Motors is also working on the development of the all-new Safari.ev. This electric SUV is expected to make its debut during the festive season of 2026, and it will become Tata’s first-ever three-row electric SUV. It will also become the flagship EV in Tata’s portfolio.
The Safari.ev will directly rival the Mahindra XEV 9S, which has already become extremely popular in the Indian market. This SUV will share its platform and powertrain options with the Harrier.ev. It will also use Tata’s acti.ev+ architecture. Reports suggest that Tata Motors could offer this SUV with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options.
It could also get an additional larger 80 kWh battery pack as well. The maximum claimed driving range of the Safari.ev could be around 550 to 600 km. Standard variants are expected to get a rear-wheel-drive setup. Meanwhile, the higher variants may feature dual-motor AWD technology.
The Safari.ev is also expected to introduce Tata’s advanced TiDAL architecture, which will enable features such as OTA updates, a 540-degree camera, summon mode, improved ADAS functions, auto park assist, and UPI-based in-car payment systems. Pricing of the Safari.ev is expected to be in the range of Rs 22.5 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.

Tata Motors has recently confirmed that later this year, it will be launching its first-ever flex-fuel vehicle in India. Most likely, it will be the Punch Flex Fuel, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, and it has now been confirmed that the model will launch by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
The Punch Flex Fuel will use a modified version of Tata’s 1.2-litre petrol engine. This engine will support ethanol blends from E20 all the way up to E100. Tata Motors has reportedly added revised fuel injectors, corrosion-resistant fuel lines, ethanol sensors, and ECU recalibration to handle higher ethanol content.

Currently, Tata Motors dominates the affordable EV market in India. However, it is now planning to enter the premium luxury EV segment with the upcoming Avinya X electric SUV. Tata showcased the concept version of this futuristic SUV at the Bharat Mobility Auto Show 2025.
The Avinya X will be sold under Tata’s new premium EV sub-brand called Avinya. This SUV will boast a completely different design language compared to current Tata vehicles. It will feature coupe-like SUV styling, futuristic T-shaped LED headlamps and taillamps, along with a very sleek and modern appearance.
On the inside, Tata is expected to offer a minimalistic and ultra-premium cabin inspired by luxury SUVs such as the Range Rover. The SUV will most likely feature large touchscreens, Level 2+ ADAS, ventilated and massaging seats, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, and a 360-degree camera.
The Avinya X will be based on Tata’s all-new EMA platform, which will support ultra-fast charging technology. Reports suggest that the SUV could offer up to 500 km of range and a charging time of less than 30 minutes. Pricing of the Avinya X is expected to remain between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 40 lakh.
