
Tata Motors has commenced the deliveries of its newly launched Punch.ev facelift in India. Recently, the delivery video of one of the first deliveries of the Tata Punch.ev facelift has been shared online. The Punch.ev facelift was officially launched two weeks ago on February 20th with a starting price tag of Rs 9.69 lakh. The company is also offering this EV SUV with the BaaS (Battery as a Service) program, bringing the price down to Rs 6.49 lakh.
The video showing the first Tata Punch.ev facelift delivery has been shared on YouTube by Lokesh Car Reviews on their page. In this short clip, we can note that a Punch.ev facelift finished in the classy shade of Pristine White was coming out of the delivery area of the dealership. A dealership employee was seen driving this SUV out, with the family who owns this car sitting next to them.

As mentioned, Tata Motors has launched the Punch.ev facelift in India, and it starts at Rs 9.69 lakh. It is being offered in five variants, namely the Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered. As for the pricing, the base variant with the battery included has been priced at Rs 9.69 lakh.
However, with the Battery as a Service (BaaS) program, the base Smart variant of this SUV starts at Rs 6.49 lakh. Tata Motors is offering the Punch.ev with two battery pack options of 30 kWh and 40 kWh. However, presently the BaaS pricing has only been revealed for the base Smart variant with the 30 kWh battery pack.
It has been confirmed that all of the variants, including the 40 kWh variants of the Tata Punch.ev facelift, will be getting BaaS. However, the pricing will be revealed in the coming period. As for the pricing of the variants above the Smart trim, the Smart+ variant, which gets both 30 kWh and 40 kWh battery pack options, has been priced at Rs 10.29 lakh and Rs 10.89 lakh, respectively.

There are three more variants, namely Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+ S. All three of them only get the 40 kWh battery pack and are priced at Rs 11.59 lakh (Adventure), Rs 12.29 lakh (Empowered), and Rs 12.59 lakh (Empowered+ S). The 30 kWh battery pack variants of the Punch.ev facelift offer a range of 375 km; meanwhile, the 40 kWh variants offer a range of 468 km (ARAI) certified.
Coming to the powertrain options, the Punch.ev facelift gets a single electric motor. However, it makes more power with the 40 kWh battery pack than in the 30 kWh battery pack variants. The former makes 129 PS and 154 Nm of torque; meanwhile, the latter makes 88 PS and 154 Nm of torque.
Apart from the battery sizing and power specs, the company has also improved the Punch.ev facelift’s charging capabilities. It now supports 65 kW DC fast charging, and a 20–80 percent charge can be achieved in 26 minutes.

Additionally, a 135 km range top-up can be done in just 15 minutes using the 65 kW DC fast charger. The Punch.ev facelift now also gets a lifetime warranty on the new 40 kWh battery pack. It has to be noted that this warranty will only be offered to the first owner.
