Tata launched the all-new Tiago, or the Tiago facelift, in the market last week. The entry-level hatchback comes with more features than ever before. The car has started reaching dealerships, and deliveries for the same will also start soon. While we have seen videos and images of the higher trims of the Tiago facelift, we have now come across a new video that shows what the base variant of the Tiago offers.
The video has been shared by Adi Zone on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks about the exterior design and the features that Tata is offering with the base variant of the Tiago hatchback. The price for the Tata Tiago’s base variant starts at Rs 4.70 lakh, ex-showroom. The car gets a regular exterior design with the same gloss black nose at the front.
The headlamps on the Tiago base variant are halogen, with sleek LED turn indicators integrated into them. There are no LED DRLs, and the black trims on the bumper meet the lower air dam. Even the higher variants do not offer fog lamps. The base variant also gets a provision for a 360-degree camera.
Coming to the side profile, the Tiago comes with 13-inch steel rims with no wheel caps. The hatchback comes with black ORVMs, and the turn indicators are installed on the fenders. The door handles are black, and the claddings around the wheel arches can also be seen here.

As we move to the rear, we see the LED tail lamps, and there is no connecting LED bar. Instead, it gets a gloss black garnish across the boot. The hatchback gets a high-mounted stop lamp, and the boot can be opened only using the release button next to the driver. The car doesn’t get a reverse camera, but it comes with parking sensors.
On the inside, Tata is offering a very basic-looking cabin. It gets a black-and-grey dual-tone theme with manual ORVMs, manual windows for all doors, a matte black twin-spoke steering wheel, and so on. It gets a digital instrument cluster, but it misses out on an infotainment system completely. The hatchback also misses out on a driver armrest, wireless phone charging, a manual IRVM, and many more features. The hatchback comes with manual AC, fabric upholstery, rear parking sensors, tilt adjustment for the steering wheel, ISOFIX child-seat anchor points, 3-point seatbelts with reminders for all seats, ABS with EBD, a 12V power socket, 6 airbags, and so on. Tata is offering very basic features with the base variant of the Tiago facelift.
The base petrol variant of the Tiago starts at Rs 4.69 lakh, ex-showroom. The same Smart variant is also available with iCNG, and the price for the CNG variant is Rs 5.79 lakh, ex-showroom.
The petrol version of the Tiago facelift is powered by a 1.2-litre NA, 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates 86 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox only. The CNG version also uses the same engine, but it generates 75.5 PS and 96.5 Nm of torque.
