Tata Motors has once again shared a new video online which gives us a glimpse of the soon-to-be-launched Tiago facelift. This time around, it has shown us the interior design of the Tiago iCNG variant. The main highlight of the soon-to-be-launched Tiago facelift iCNG is that it will become the cheapest car in India to offer paddle shifters. Both the standard ICE variant and the iCNG variants will be getting an AMT gearbox with paddle shifters.
The video showing the Tata Tiago facelift with the paddle shifters has been shared on YouTube by Tata Motors Cars on their channel. It starts off with exterior design shots of the Tiago iCNG. We can note that, from the front, it will look exactly the same as the standard ICE model. However, at the rear, the main difference will be the presence of the iCNG badge on the right corner of the tailgate.
Following this, the video then shows the interior of the SUV, and the first thing that we can note is the absence of the CNG tanks. This is because the iCNG variant of the Tiago will get the dual CNG cylinder technology, which is placed under the boot of the vehicle. This helps in freeing up a lot of space in the boot.

Moving ahead, the video then shows the dual-tone cabin of the Tiago iCNG finished in black and light grey. The lower part of the cabin is finished in black, and the top part is in light grey. Like the standard model, the layered dashboard layout remains the same, and so does the large 10.25-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system in the middle.
Additionally, the hatchback also features a dedicated CNG button on the control stack under the air conditioning vents. Apart from these, the video shows the automatic climate control and the rotary gear knob, which has Drive, Reverse, and Neutral modes. It will also get a push start-stop button, dual wireless charging pads, fast charging ports, a digital instrument gauge cluster, a 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, and other amenities.

As for the main highlight, the upcoming Tata Tiago ICE and iCNG facelifts will be getting paddle shifters as well. We can note in the video that the new two-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo has also been given silver paddle shifters. This will make the Tiago ICE and iCNG variants the most affordable cars in India to offer paddle shifters.
Now, coming to the details of the powertrain of the Tiago iCNG, it will be offered with the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, which will make 86 bhp in the petrol version and 75.5 bhp in the iCNG version. As stated, both of these variants will be getting the AMT gearbox with paddle shifters. However, the standard gearbox option will be a 5-speed manual.

As for the CNG setup, Tata Motors will continue to offer the same space-saving dual-cylinder setup as the current model. The iCNG version allows Direct Start-In-CNG technology. Currently, the Tiago iCNG is priced at Rs 5.53 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.91 lakh. Most likely, the upcoming facelift could see a price hike in the range of Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000. Tata Motors will be officially launching the Tiago ICE, Tiago iCNG, and the Tiago.ev on May 28.
