7-seater vehicles in the Indian market have lately been gaining a lot of popularity. This is not just the case with ICE vehicles but also with EVs. Many people find 7-seater SUVs suitable for their families, and recently we have seen many brands offer large SUVs at attractive price propositions. Here, we have a list of three such 7-seater electric UVs that are expected to be launched in India this year.
Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast entered the Indian market last year, and they already have 50 dealerships and two models in their lineup. They are now preparing to launch their third vehicle, which is an MPV. It is called the VF MPV7 and is already available in international markets.

Bookings for the MPV7 have already begun, and the official launch is expected to take place on April 15, 2026. The MPV gets a boxy design, which has been intentionally adopted to maximise interior space. It is a three-row electric MPV where priority is given to space.
It comes with signature V-shaped LED DRLs, split headlamps, a connecting LED bar, alloy wheels, disc brakes on all four wheels, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display (which also works as the instrument cluster), leatherette seats finished in a black-and-brown theme, automatic climate control, a reverse parking camera, sensors, and more.
It will be offered with a 60.14 kWh battery pack that produces 201 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. This setup is expected to deliver a claimed driving range of around 450 km. The MPV7 is expected to be priced aggressively and will rival the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis EV.
Towards the end of 2025, VinFast revealed that they are planning to introduce their ride-hailing service, Green and Smart Mobility (GSM), in India. This is expected to coincide with the launch of the MPV7. In fact, VinFast might call this version of the MPV7 the Limo Green. It would be aimed at fleet operators, and the MPV will probably be offered with fewer features than the MPV7.

Mechanically, the Limo Green and the MPV7 are expected to be the same. We expect to see a more basic, less flashy design and limited colour options in the Limo Green variant when compared to the MPV7.
Tata launched the Harrier EV last year, and we already know that an electric version of the Safari is also coming soon. As per the latest reports, the Safari EV is expected to be launched around the festive season this year.
In terms of design, the Safari EV is expected to remain similar to the ICE version. It should be noted that, just like the Harrier EV, the Safari EV is also not a born-electric SUV. This would be Tata’s first three-row electric vehicle.

The Safari EV will come with a closed front grille, revised front and rear bumpers, EV-specific alloy wheels, and an EV-themed cabin along with all the existing premium features like leatherette upholstery, memory function, a panoramic sunroof, seat ventilation, and more. It is also possible that Tata might offer a triple-display setup, similar to what we saw in the Sierra, as the Safari EV would be the flagship electric SUV from Tata.
It is expected to come with the same 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options. The larger battery pack in the Harrier EV offers around 622–627 km of claimed range, while the smaller battery variant offers around 538 km. In the Safari EV, the range might be slightly lower, as it is a bigger and heavier vehicle. It will be offered in both RWD and AWD configurations.
