Maruti Suzuki, the largest car manufacturer in India, has a wide range of vehicles in its lineup. The brand caters to the needs of buyers from different segments. It has everything from small, affordable hatchbacks to premium MPVs. It also has a strong lineup of crossovers and SUVs in the Indian market. Like most brands, Maruti also updates its models in a timely manner, and here we have a list of three such Maruti SUVs that are getting a major facelift soon.

When we talk about sub-4-metre SUVs, the Brezza is a name that cannot be skipped. It is a popular SUV in this segment and has been around for a while now. It was initially offered with a diesel engine, and later, due to emission norms, Maruti started offering it with a petrol engine. The current version of the Brezza is due for a facelift, and this is expected to be a major update before the SUV gets a generation change.
There are videos and images of the Brezza facelift available online. On paper, the changes look minimal. The exterior design is expected to see minor changes such as a tweaked grille, revised headlamps, a larger touchscreen, and new alloy wheels. However, under the bonnet, things are likely to change even more. The current version uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine and also offers a CNG option. With the facelift, Maruti is expected to introduce the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Fronx. This smaller engine could allow the SUV to qualify for a lower 18 percent GST rate instead of the current 40 percent rate. This engine would come with a 6-speed manual transmission and may also get an underbody CNG tank.

The Fronx is an extremely popular crossover in its segment, and it is also the only model from Maruti to offer a turbo-petrol engine as an option. Maruti is now working on a major update for the highly successful Fronx. As part of the update, the Fronx will get redesigned front and rear bumpers, new LED headlamps and tail lamps, and a fresh set of alloy wheels. Maruti is likely to offer features such as ventilated seats, a larger touchscreen, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), among others.
Along with the facelift, Maruti is also working on a new affordable hybrid technology for its mass-market models. The Fronx will get a new series-hybrid system based on the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine that debuted in the new-generation Swift. This hybrid system is different from a strong hybrid because the engine's sole purpose is to act as a generator to charge the battery pack, which powers the electric motor that drives the car.

The Grand Vitara is also set to receive a much-needed facelift as part of its life-cycle update. The SUV is expected to arrive around the festive season and will feature a redesigned front grille, new bumpers, updated LED lighting, and fresh 17-inch alloy wheels.
The SUV will get a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen, Level 2 ADAS, and many more features. The SUV will continue to use the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that comes with a mild-hybrid system. It would also continue to offer AWD with the automatic variant. The 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain would also be offered, and Maruti might fine-tune the engine to improve fuel-efficiency figures.
