The second-generation Kia Seltos has already become a massive hit in India. And now, to bank on its success, the company is gearing up for the launch of three new Seltos models in the country. So without any delay, here are all the details of the upcoming three new iterations of the Kia Seltos.

The first new model that Kia is planning to introduce in the Seltos lineup is the new GTX+ variant. This new trim will sit above the standard GTX variant, and it will become one of the most premium GT Line trims in the Seltos range. Currently, the new-generation Seltos is offered in 10 variants, which include HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK (O), HTX, HTX (A), GTX, GTX (A), X-Line, and X-Line (A).
The upcoming GTX+ trim is expected to offer more additions over the standard GTX variant. Some of the highlights will include a dashcam, head-up display, and an air purifier. With the last-generation model, Kia used to offer these features. However, they were discontinued, and now they could be offered with the upcoming GTX+ variant.
Apart from these additions, the GTX+ will continue to offer all the premium equipment already seen on the GTX trim. This includes Level 2+ ADAS with more features, an electrically adjustable driver seat, memory function for the seat, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, Bose sound system, wireless charger, OTA updates, leatherette upholstery, and rear sunshades.
The current GTX variant itself is already a very feature-loaded SUV. It comes with Ice Cube LED projector headlamps, 18-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels, neon-colored brake calipers, a 10-way powered driver seat, relax mode for the driver seat, dual 12.3-inch screens, a 5-inch HVAC touchscreen, and front ventilated seats.
In terms of engine options, the GTX+ is expected to be offered with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engines. Transmission choices will likely include automatic and DCT gearbox options only.

Apart from the GTX+, Kia is also gearing up for the launch of the new X-Line (O) trim for the Kia Seltos. This variant could also be called X-Line+ and will become the top-spec version in the X-Line lineup. The X-Line variants are the more sporty variants of the Seltos and other Kia models, and they are offered with a number of visual upgrades which help in differentiating them from the standard Seltos trims.
These include a matte black exterior, rugged skid plates, blacked-out alloy wheels, and sporty accents all around the SUV. The upcoming X-Line (O) is expected to continue with the same overall formula. It will most likely offer the same exclusive Matte Graphite exterior shade along with blacked-out design elements.
However, Kia may add more cosmetic changes and additional premium touches to help in setting it apart from the standard X-Line variant. On the inside, the X-Line (O) is expected to offer almost the same feature list as the GTX+ trim. This means buyers can expect features like a dashcam, HUD, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, powered driver seat, Bose sound system, ambient lighting, premium upholstery, and Level 2+ ADAS.
Engine options on the X-Line (O) are expected to include the same 1.5-litre turbo petrol and the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engines. They will be offered with automatic gearbox options.

Now coming to the most highly anticipated Seltos, the company is gearing up to launch the Seltos strong hybrid. Recently, a fully camouflaged test mule of the Seltos Hybrid was spotted testing on Indian roads near Pune, Maharashtra. From the outside, the SUV looked almost identical to the standard Seltos.
It featured the same connected LED tail lamps, same alloy wheels, and same flush-type door handles. This suggests that the major changes will take place under the bonnet. Now, unlike the international-spec Seltos Hybrid, which comes equipped with a 1.6-litre hybrid powertrain, the India-spec version will get a completely localized setup.
Kia is doing this mainly to reduce production costs and make the hybrid more affordable for Indian buyers. The upcoming Seltos Hybrid is expected to come powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which comes paired with a strong hybrid system. This setup will include an electric motor and a small battery pack integrated into the drivetrain.
There are also reports which have suggested that the petrol engine could use an Atkinson-cycle setup for better fuel efficiency. Its power figures are expected to be around 155 bhp and 265 Nm of torque. This will make the hybrid almost as powerful as the current 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which produces 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque.
Initially, Kia will offer the Seltos hybrid alongside the existing petrol, turbo petrol, and diesel engines. However, later on, the company is expected to phase out the diesel motor completely. And it will position the hybrid as the fuel-efficient long-distance drivetrain option. The Seltos Hybrid is expected to launch in India by early 2027. Pricing will be around Rs 18 to 25 lakh.
