VinFast is all set to launch its third product for the Indian market in the form of an MPV. It will be called the VF MPV7, and we have seen several test mules of the MPV7 in India in the past. A couple of days ago, VinFast opened official bookings for the MPV7, and the official launch is scheduled for April 15, 2026. While the brand is preparing to launch its new product, it has released a TVC where we get a glimpse of the exterior and interior of the upcoming MPV.
The video has been shared by VinFast India on its X profile. The video focuses mainly on the space that the MPV7 offers. It has been posted with the caption: “What if your car felt like an extra room? The all-electric VF MPV 7 brings together space, comfort, and intuitive technology in one seamless experience. Step into your room on wheels. Bookings now open.”
VinFast is calling the MPV7 a “room on wheels,” which could mean it will offer a spacious cabin. The colour of the cabin and a few features are clearly visible in the video. The VinFast MPV7 comes with a black and brown dual-tone theme for the cabin. While we do not see the dashboard, we get a glimpse of the rear AC vents, third-row seats, and what looks like perforated leatherette upholstery.
The headliner is all black, and it looks like the MPV7 might focus more on comfort and space over features. We do see roof-mounted AC vents for rear passengers, but it looks like the MPV7 may not get a sunroof. It would offer a large 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system which would also double up as driver display. Apart from this it would also offer a host of safety features.
The minimalist-looking cabin can be seen in the video, and we also notice cupholders and an armrest on the centre console. Exterior shots of the car are also included in the video, and here it feels like VinFast might be skipping ADAS features. It is possible that VinFast is focusing on offering features that help them launch the 7-seater at an aggressive price. The Carens Clavis EV, one of the MPVs that the VF MPV7 will compete against, is priced at Rs 17.99 lakh, ex-showroom. By skipping a few features, VinFast might be planning to price the MPV lower than the Kia.
The exterior design of the VF MPV7 is different from existing VinFast models. It features a boxy design, which has been intentionally adopted to maximise interior space. The MPV measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,728 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. As this is designed as an MPV, VinFast has pushed the wheels to the corners with minimal overhangs, helping create more space for occupants.
There is a possibility that VinFast might launch its ride-hailing service, Green and Smart Mobility (GSM), in India along with the MPV7. From the side, the MPV has a straight window line, a flat roof, conventional door handles, thick cladding around the wheel arches, and a shark-fin antenna on the roof. The alloy wheels seen on the car are similar to the international version.
At the rear, the Limo Green gets a squarish rear windshield and sleek LED tail lamps connected by a signature light bar, along with the VinFast logo and MPV7 badge. The MPV7 will be powered by a 60.14 kWh battery pack that produces 201 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. This setup is expected to deliver a claimed driving range of around 450 km.
