Volkswagen recently launched the all-new Taigun facelift in the market. The SUV has already started reaching dealerships, and media drives for the same are also being conducted. The Taigun facelift’s production has already begun, and it looks like Volkswagen has also started delivering it. Here we have a video where a brand-new Volkswagen Taigun facelift is being delivered to a customer.
The video has been shared by rudinpattiam on their YouTube channel as a short. In the video, we see a customer taking delivery of his new Taigun facelift from a dealership. From the visuals, it appears that the video is from a dealership in Kerala. Volkswagen had earlier mentioned that Kerala is one of its important markets in India, and the car seen here could be the first to be delivered in the state. It is also possible that the SUV being delivered is among the first in the country.
In the video, we see the customer having a conversation with the dealership staff. Once the documentation process is completed, the customer, along with his family, gathers around the Taigun, which is covered with a black satin cloth. The customer then unveils the car, after which the staff hands over the key and the welcome kit or hamper.

After the unveiling, the customer and the dealership staff celebrate the occasion by cutting a cake. We then see the staff explaining the features and giving the customer a quick walkthrough of the vehicle. After all this, the customer drives the car out of the dealership. The customer has opted for the new Avocado Pearl shade, which looks quite appealing.
The Taigun facelift was launched in the market very recently. The SUV seen in the video appears to be the top-end variant. It has been launched at a starting price of ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹19.3 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in Comfortline, Highline, Highline Plus, GT Line, Topline, GT Plus Chrome and GT Plus Sport variants.
As part of the facelift, Volkswagen has made several cosmetic changes to the SUV. It now comes with an illuminated logo at the front and rear, a connecting LED light bar, dual-function LED DRLs, LED headlamps, a revised bumper, new alloy wheels, and LED tail lamps with a connecting light bar. The revised headlamps look similar to those seen on larger Volkswagen SUVs currently on sale.

Coming to the cabin, the SUV features a larger 10.25-inch driver display, a panoramic sunroof, and an updated 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other features include ventilated seats, electrically adjustable seats, wireless phone charging, a 6-speaker audio system, and more.
Under the hood, the SUV is offered with two turbo-petrol engine options. The lower variants get a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a new 8-speed automatic transmission.
The higher variants are powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission.
