Volkswagen recently launched the Taigun facelift in India with a starting price tag of Rs 10.99 lakh. However, its base variant does not come with a ton of features. Now, if you are looking to buy the most value-for-money variant in the new Taigun lineup, then you should look at the Highline Plus variant of this SUV. Recently, a detailed video walkaround showing this SUV from the outside as well as the inside has been shared online.
The detailed walkaround of the Taigun facelift Highline Plus variant has been shared on YouTube by Automotive Aspects on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that the Highline Plus variant of the Taigun is the most value-for-money trim, and it starts at Rs 14.29 lakh with the 1.0-litre TSI engine and 6-speed manual gearbox.

On the other hand, the same engine with the 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox has been priced at Rs 15.44 lakh. Soon after this, the vlogger then starts showing the exterior design of this SUV and also what features it has to offer. Starting at the front, the vlogger mentions that, like the top-of-the-line variants, it gets the same new projector LED headlight setup.
Meanwhile, it also gets the same LED DRL, but it misses out on the connecting LED strip in the middle and also the illuminated Volkswagen logo at the front. What makes this variant special is that it also gets auto-levelling headlights, which is a feature that is not seen on other mid-size SUVs apart from the Kushaq facelift. This variant also comes equipped with four parking sensors and auto rain-sensing wipers as well.

Moving to the profile, the presenter highlights that it looks almost the same as the previous model. However, the main differentiating elements are the 16-inch silver steel wheels, which boast a better design. These are offered starting from the Highline Plus variant, and this trim also boasts functional roof rails and front two disc brakes (1.0-litre variants). The 1.5-litre variants get all four disc brakes.

As for the rear end, the vlogger highlights that the Highline Plus variant comes well kitted. It gets the same connecting LED taillights, roof spoiler, rear window wiper, washer and defogger setup, and a new rear bumper with a reverse parking camera. The only thing it misses out on is the illuminated rear Volkswagen logo. Additionally, the SUV also gets a black shark fin antenna as well.

Soon after this, the vlogger then shows the cabin of the Highline Plus variant of the Taigun facelift. He mentions that this SUV gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument gauge, a black and white color scheme, fabric and leatherette mixed upholstery, automatic climate control, and manually adjustable seats. This variant also gets a single-pane electric sunroof, cruise control, and many others.

As for the powertrain, this variant, as mentioned, is available with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which makes 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. It is offered with both a 6-speed manual and the new 8-speed automatic gearbox. Overall, this variant is the most value for money because it gets all the essential features required without spending a lot of money.
