Volkswagen Taigun recently launched the updated version of their popular mid-size SUV, the Taigun, in the market. The prices for the all-new Taigun start at Rs 11 lakh, ex-showroom, and detailed reviews of the same have also started appearing online. The Taigun facelift has started reaching dealerships, and deliveries for the same have also started. Volkswagen has released an all-new TVC for the updated Taigun.
The video has been released by Volkswagen on their official YouTube channel. In this video, we see the Taigun being driven in different parts of the country by people who belong to different age groups and genders. What they all have in common is the love for driving, and Volkswagen is marketing the new Taigun as a perfect companion for the same.
We see the cars being driven on winding mountain roads, straight highways, and in city conditions. Throughout the video, Volkswagen has slowly incorporated the features and the changes they have made to the SUV. The Taigun now looks fresh and comes with more changes than the earlier version.

The updated Taigun facelift comes with a revised front end. It now looks similar to bigger Volkswagen SUVs. The Taigun gets sleeker headlamps along with a connecting LED bar with an illuminated brand logo in the center. The bumper of the Taigun is also tweaked, and we see chrome inserts and a faux skid plate on it.
Moving to the side, you see the new alloy wheels, thick cladding around the wheel arches, roof rails, and other elements. The design remains more or less the same as the older version. At the rear, we see the integrated roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, rear windscreen washer, wiper, and defogger.

The tail lamp design of the SUV looks the same as the older version, but it now comes with a connecting LED bar, sequential turn indicators, and so on. Volkswagen has also launched the SUV in new shades of Avocado Pearl and Steel Grey.
The cabin of the Taigun remains more or less the same as the older version. Here, we get a light-colour theme for the cabin along with features like a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, and an updated 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The SUV will continue to come with features like ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger pad, a 6-speaker sound system, and so on. Unlike the Škoda Kushaq facelift, the Volkswagen doesn’t come with a rear seat massager function.
The SUV is available with two engine options as before. It comes with a 1.0-litre TSI engine option that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of peak torque. This engine was earlier offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 6-speed unit has now been replaced with an all-new 8-speed unit.
The 1.5-litre TSI engine option generates 150 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 7-speed DSG only. Coming to the variants, Volkswagen is offering the Taigun in Comfortline, Highline, Highline Plus, GT Line, Topline, GT Plus Chrome, and GT Plus Sport variants. Prices for the Taigun facelift start at Rs 11 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 19.3 lakh, ex-showroom.
