Maruti Suzuki launched their 4x4 SUV, the Jimny, in the market a few years ago. It is a popular SUV among off-road enthusiasts, but one thing that stopped many of them from buying it was the steep pricing. If they had priced the car sensibly, it might have done better. Maruti did offer discounts for quite some time, and many buyers picked it up then.
While the basic idea of buying a Jimny is to go off-road, there are many who simply buy this SUV to modify and convert it into a baby G-Wagen. Here we have one such Jimny up for sale.
Just like most modified Jimny SUVs, the owner of this SUV also decided to go with an aftermarket G-Wagen body kit. Initially, body kits for the 5-door Jimny were not available in the market. Many of them used custom-built kits which did not look that great.
In this case, the car seen here seems to be using something like that. The front grille and headlamp covers look odd when compared to the size of the grille. The bumper is also an aftermarket unit with LED DRLs and a faux skid plate.

Other modifications include a faux hood scoop, G-Wagen-like turn indicators on the bonnet, roof-mounted LED light bars, roof rails, and other accessories. Coming to the side profile, you’ll notice the wheel arches are also finished in the same shade as the rest of the body. It gets a gloss black shade which looks decent.
The wheels used on this baby G are stock, and so are the alloy wheels. There is a ladder and a jerry can mounted on the rear quarter glass of the SUV. The rear wheel cover and the front grille get Mercedes logos on them.

The interior of the SUV has also been completely customised. The SUV gets a very different theme for the cabin. The Jimny is a 4x4 SUV, and most people opt for dark shades as they are easier to maintain and clean compared to lighter ones.
Here, the owner has opted for a light blue-coloured theme for the cabin. The seats are reupholstered, and so is the dashboard. The floor is covered in a matching floor mat, and the dashboard gets the same shade. The AC vents are G-Wagen-like, and we can also see customisation on the steering wheel.

We are expecting ambient lights in the cabin too. Coming to the details, this is a 2023-make, 2024-registered Maruti Jimny Alpha variant. The car has done only 1,600 km as per the advertisement. The SUV seen here is the Alpha manual variant, and as we know, it comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The SUV is said to be currently located in Kochi, Kerala, but it is registered in Haryana. The asking price for this less-used, extremely modified, baby G-Wagen-like Maruti Jimny is ₹16 lakh. For those who don’t know, a brand-new Jimny Alpha manual costs ₹13.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The seller is asking for the price of the customisation as well.
